GREY'S IS GGGOOODDDD

Is it just me or is Grey's AMAZING this season? The last episode of last season, with the shooting in the hospital, was just about the most amazing two hours of Grey's EVER. I'm using a lot of caps in this recap. Haha, get it, cap, recap. Yeah, I'm lame. So just a quick reminder to anyone who didn't watch the finale, Reed was killed (who cares), Alex was shot, Owen was shot, Meredith had a miscarriage, Derek was shot, Cristina saved his life and the big oafy intern died. It was amazing. There were moment of genius. Cristina's hands in Derek's chest as the gunman held the gun to her head and Meredith pleading for his life "Shoot me. Dr. Webber, I'm the closest thing he has to a daughter, Lexie Grey is my sister and the man on the table, I'm his wife, so shoot me." Ugh, just writing that makes me sad and happy and everything a good show should make you feel. Oh, and then when he shoots Owen and Derek is still alive and Meredith is in shock and Cristina yells, "I save your guy, you save mine!". Tears! Oh, and then when Cristina is having all those problems and Meredith tells her "Derek is the love of my life but you're my soul mate". OMG I love this show. Okay, one more time, when Cristina left Owen the day after they got married because she freaked out in the O.R. and she and Meredith were talking about her marriage and Meredith was convincing her to give it another try and she agreed and then Owen showed up and gave her this amazingly romantic and wonderful speech and Meredith says, "Nice speech, but I fixed her right before you walked in."

The first episodes back have been so good. Not as amazing as the finale, but seriously, how can you beat a crazy gunman shooting surgeons? Ya can't, it was just great. Anyway, Meredith had a miscarriage and at first wasn't telling Derek about it, but Derek was driving around going a hundred miles an hour and getting arrested so she finally told him. April, the intern that unknowingly got Derek shot, whose best friend was killed (Reed) and who Meredith went through her miscarriage and craziness with, moved in to her house. And for some reason Avery is there as well, which I'm not sure that was ever answered, but do I care? He's like, amazingly amazingly handsome. In the last episode he flirted with Teddy who at first was falling for it but then totally rejected him. She needs to use him as a sexual rebound. That's what I'd do.

Lexie and Alex broke up and Sloane was pining after her but then when Derek's sister came into town he realized he shouldn't wait around for Lexie, but Lexie was ready by then and caught Sloane and Baby Shephard hooking up. Speaking of babies, cute baby doc Arizona moved in with Callie after their big break up and get back together last season finale. Unfortunately, Cristina and her HUSBAND Owen still live there. But don't worry, after some very loud lady sex Cristina and Owen decided to move.

Cristina's been freaking out in the O.R. and they wanted to pull her from the program but Derek said "If she goes, I go" which was another one of those amazing Derek moments. He took her under his wing and tried to coax her back into the O.R. but she just couldn't do it. Owen tried to get her back in the episode before and she wound up on the floor in a ball. And then this past episode Bailey tried to get her in as well and she wouldn't go. I thought Derek had made progress though because he did take her down to the morgue and had her perform the same surgery she did on him, just so she knows she still has it, and it seemed like she did.

Now Meredith has a hostile uterus and she and April are tighter. Lexie was a little jealous of that until Meredith finally told her that April was there during her miscarriage and has made them closer. Poor Lexie, she doesn't have Alex, Sloane and Meredith is treating April sisterly. But in all fairness, Lexie went cray cray after the shooting, so I'm not sure how much I'd trust her either.

The cases on the last few episodes have been fine, but it's not really about the cases. The cases make them realize things, but the actual cases aren't that interesting. Yeah, the girl who swallowed a condom at her bachlorette party so her fiance was upset was kinda funny. Oh, and there was this guy who had this weird disease where he looked like a tree. Lexie almost threw up on the guy a few times, and really, I don't blame her. I was eating dinner during that part and had to stop. Derek's sister (he has like 5) came to visit and told him that she wanted to hear how he was since he didn't call after he was shot. Come to find out, Baby Shephard was just five when she and Derek witnessed their father shot at the store he owned. So Derek was trying to shelter her. It was a sweet moment, and made me lust after Derek even more.

Also, stuff has happened with Teddy, but I hate her, so I'm not going to tell you.

Like I said at the beginning, this season of Grey's is turning out to be amazing. Hopefully it stays really good.

GREY'S (SSNNNNNOORRREEE) ANATOMY

The first two episodes of Grey's was so boring and stupid. I don't care about intern Dr. Grey, Lexie, is that her boring ass name? And I don't care about Meredith and Derek, either be together or don't be together. The lesbian love affair between Callie and Erica Hahn is just weird, because, I'm sorry, Callie is smokin' hot and Hahn, not so much. Plus I liked it when she was getting in on with Dr. McSteamy in the on call room. That was freakin' sexy. George is George, oblivious to women and not seeing that boring Lexie is now in love with him. Why? Why is George bagging all the hot ones on this show? And I don't count Meredith in that, one, because she cried while he had sex with her, nice Grey, and also because she's not that cute. Now, she's a lot cuter now that she put some meat onto her bones, but still, her face is kinda pulled.

The only silver lining in the first few episodes was this...

That's some kind of yummy AND in a uniform. Seriously, I had to pause it, rewind it and then slap myself out of my dream that he and I have a cottage together in Provence, on a hillside, with a vineyard, and little red headed, freckled babies running around yelling, "Papa! Papa!". Sorry, I digress.

This yummy hunk of man is only in it for the season opener, eventually giving Cristina just what she needs, nearly throwing her down on a gurney and going at it. Whoa, sorry, I need a minute.

I think I just wet myself

I wasn't too impressed so far, but last episode slowly started to come back around. I hate Izzie. I know, I know, she was my girlfriend for awhile. But we broke up. She's a bitch, I realized. She's a whiny little bitch. Not that everybody on this show doesn't wine their ass off, because they do. But, there's something a least a little endearing about them. Even whiny bitch Erica Hahn, at least she likes some flava in her life.

Regardless, last episode I saw a glimmer of hope, hope that my show hadn't completely lost its mind. After last season's piss poor showing I was kinda sad when the first episode didn't "wow" me. I mean, besides my new boyfriend who left again to be a surgeon in Iraq (seriously, can he BE any hotter?????). Hopefully they bring him back and finally give Cristina the good boning she needs. Keep trucking Grey's, you'll get there.

I WANT MY GREY'S BACK

SSIIGGHHH

Remember those days when you couldn't wait until Thursdays because you'd get to spend a little time with Meredith, Izzie, Alex, George and Christina? When McDreamy was way too Dreamy and you couldn't wait to hear Bailey yell at her interns? I miss those days. I miss Denny, I'm over Callie, and I sorta miss Burke. Regardless of the crazy things he said off set, he was still a great part of the show.

Except when he had crazy eyes likes this

Remember when Alex comforted Izzie after Denny died? How he carried her? How all her friends didn't give her up to the Chief for cutting the LVAD wire?

Remember Meredith and the bomb guy? How thinking of Derrick got her through it and then the guy blew up?

Remember when Meredith loved Derrick? (PS I don't know if that's Meredith in this picture but it was way too hot not to post)

Remember when George loved Meredith and she cried during sex?

Remember the "syph" nurse and how Alex couldn't handle a possible commitment with Izzie and Izzie caught them doing it?

Remember when the two patients were impaled by the rod and they had to decide which one should live and which one should die?

Remember when they did surgeries?

I miss Grey's. Maybe it'll come back.

DR. BURKE-- YOU'RE FIRED!

With the hasty exit of Dr. Burke at the end of the Grey's Anatomy season, it had many of us wondering what was the fate of the F-bom dropping doctor. Well, he won't be coming back. The cast and crew apparently talks about how they didn't like the way he was on set. Personally, the fact that he put his hands around Patrick Dempsey's neck while calling T.R. Knight the F-word, that's what would have me a little up in arms. But, I guess using the gay bashing word is more cause for treatment and anger management (and press) then physical violence. Um, ok. You'll be missed Dr. Burke, now maybe the writing will get a little better. Ouch.

15 HOURS OF GREY'S

I know I've slacked on recapping Grey's and I have no excuse. I mean, I have excuses, but to a die hard Grey's fan there is no excuse. Below is a short update on your favorite characters.

Doesn't she look pretty?

I'll start with my girl crush, Izzie. When we here at primetimetvblog last left her... (and by "we" I mean "me") she had just received a fat ass check. Over eight million dollars. Unfortunately, she didn't want to cash it. She thought about things she would use it for. I'd buy myself a house, and since I live in Southern California, I'd then be broke. But Izzie, she decided that she really did want to be a doctor. So the check sat around for weeks. Of course, I'm not really sure how long it's been in Seattle Grace time, since they really aren't too good with making any sense of time.

Anyway, back to the check. I think my girl didn't want to cash it because it reminded her of Denny and cashing it would make his death seem more real to her. Wow, and I didn't even take one Psych 101 class in college. All of my psychology training comes from years of watching movies and TV. Izzie's return to the hospital was bitter sweet. They let her come back but only as basically an observer. She wasn't allowed to touch or interact with any patients, which is really hard when you're a doctor, especially a surgeon.

Bailey is keeping tabs on her though, and when she sees her getting a little emotional with one of her first cases she's assigned, she tries to reign her in. Unfortunately my sweet Izzie just can't seem to emotionally detach herself and when a weird case of a teenager with a curved back comes in, she can't help herself. The girl is all bitter because her back's messed up and she can't stand up straight. I mean, I get it, she's sad, and she can't stand up and she'll never have a boyfriend or a real life. But why do you have to be a bitch? Actually, I guess if you're gonna be a bitch that's a pretty good reason. Callie's able to talk Derek into doing a risky surgery to straighten the kid's back, but the mom gets news that her insurance won't cover it. Oh, wow, I wonder what is going to happen.

Izzie finally pulls herself to the bank and deposits the check in a cute, emotional scene where she's crying and yelling at the bank manager to just take the check, which, since it's been in the kitchen, mostly on the fridge for however long, is covered in food and drink stains. A little later we find out that an "anonymous" donor has given the bendy back mom enough money to cover the surgery $300,000. Good God. Bailey figures it out and is again mad at Izzie for getting so close. Eventually, Izzie has a talk with Bailey, basically saying that she's how she is, she's emotional, and a good doctor and basically that Bailey has to live with it.

Speaking of Bailey, she's gotten soft, but luckily she knows it. She messed up with Izzie, but fixed that a bit having her back and mentoring her again. All that stuff that happened with Burke (see below) and she really wasn't feeling like her normal self. Everyone was up her ass about what happened to Denny, and then all that with Izzie, she didn't feel like the Nazi she once was. Because of everything that's happened, I think she needs a purpose again. She decides she wants to open a free clinic and needs all of the attendings to sign. I think mostly because they sign up for a number of hours a week. At first they won't sign, but then when the Chief tells her that one day she'll be Chief, and the reason he hasn't been helping her get signatures is because he wanted her to do something on her own, without him, she gets that spunk back, finds the attendings and demands they sign. Very cute. Bailey walks into a room with Izzie, after she comforts George (see below) and they talk about the clinic. Guess what's gonna happen? Bailey says she needs funding for the new clinic and Izzie gets a smile on her face and says, "The Denny Duquette Memorial Free Clinic". Tearing up!

A few words about what's going on with the Chief. Remember how Adele kicked him about because she's greedy? Well, not greedy, but she wants him to be around more? Anyway, he's been living at the hotel with all of the other doctors that have been put out of their houses, or basements, or whatever. He's finally decided to leave though, and told the board he will be retiring. Dressed up in his best suit and went over to Adele who's living in "his" house and guess what? She's moved on, with some unseen man. She tells him that it's been months since she asked him that. Wow, she's a bitch. I mean, I get what she means, she wanted him to do it a long time ago, but give him a time frame. Did she expect him to just walk off of his job like Norma Ray or something? Poor Chief. To add insult to injury, he's not allowed to see Ellis anymore. It happened a few shows back and for the life of me I can't remember why.

You know who I don't feel sorry for? Addison. Okay, I do feel a bit sorry for her, but hey, she got to kiss Alex. More on that in a second. She and Derek were technically still married last time we talked about the show. They finally got that divorce, and Derek was happy they could still be friends. She had to admit to him though that her one night stand with Mark wasn't that. They actually lived together after he left New York. Ruh Roh. That didn't put our dear McDreamy in that good of a mood. So poor Addison, she had her ex-husband who hated her, and her ex-lover, even though such a cutie, still around, treating all the interns like crap. And then, she gets all sad, and I'm watching thinking, what's wrong with her? And then Mark is all pissed off at her and I'm again wondering if maybe I missed something. But no, it was explained to us that Addison got pregnant, just about nine months before, with Mark's baby, but got an abortion.

Doesn't it look like she's looking at McSteamy's name goin', "Yup, that man is HOT!"

Oh SNAP! I guess Mark was excited to be a dad, but after some moping around, Addison explained to him that he'd be a horrible dad and she did want a baby, but not with him, with Derek. Damn. He didn't agree with her until a little talk with Callie. Addison and Callie are now sorta friends. They bonded once they realized they'd both slept with Mark. Actually this is kinda cute. Well, while Addison was feeling all sad and vulnerable, she and Alex had a moment, where they almost kissed. Then she saw him at Joe's and they had a moment where they did kiss. Then it got weird and he told her that the kiss was nothing, and that he doesn't want her, which surprised her a lot. I think he does want her and he's trying to play it cool. Eventually she got over it, a little, and invited him to a surgery, since McSteamy only likes to have the interns with him fetch his coffee and dry cleaning. What a hot bastard.

I know this is going to sound weird, but the most normal couple on the show is Derek and Meredith. At first, after she broke up with the adorable Finn, she thought that telling Derek he'd fall back into her arms. Unfortunately, he had just found out that Addison and Mark's fling wasn't really a fling, so he wasn't biting. Eventually they did start dating again, and now it's pretty much like they live together. She snores and claims that he has bad breath in the morning. It's actually cute. They got over it, and then had a mini fight, but we learned that she had never fought with someone like that before, a boyfriend. As we know she's not really a boyfriend type a girl. It was endearing.

All while this is going on, Meredith's father returns. Her sister has a baby and the baby's not doing too well. Meredith doesn't handle this family thing very well, and every time her dad tries to talk to her she bolts. He wants her to hear his side of what went down. She's resistant to it, even rebuffs his wife, saying she isn't their family. Finally, though, she does come around a little, asks him about the snoring thing, and he tells her about some earplugs that work. They do, and McDreamy can finally sleep. Not that I'd want McDreamy sleeping if he was in the bed next to me. WHAM! Her father also tells her his side of the story, which is pretty lame, about her mom not letting him see her, which we already knew. A guess it's a little step in the right direction.

Poor George. George's father came in for a fractured collar bone or something mundane and it turned out that he had cancer. George's whole crazy family was with them and although he and Callie were avoiding each other, it was clear that they still had a connection, even if he couldn't say those three magic words. Anyway, a bunch of stuff happened with Burke (see below) and the surgery finally happened. George just asked that he be told everything. But before they could go into surgery, George's dad stopped Bailey and the Chief, who were doing his second surgery to remove the cancer, and told them that he wants them to take it out, even if it's spread. I guess normal procedure calls for leaving it in if it looks like the cancer has spread enough for it to be inoperable. But George's dad wanted them to take it out, regardless, because he wants a fighting chance to beat the other stuff.

When they open him up, it's inoperable, but since they promised, they start taking it out anyway, much to Meredith's confusion. When George's dad comes out of surgery, he's in a coma. Burke tells George to make sure that his kidneys are functioning, and when he pees for the first time, he and Callie, who's been with him through all of this, do a little dance and he kisses her. Their joy is soon shattered when it seems the rest of his body is failing. George also learns that they went ahead with the surgery, even though that's against normal procedure. He's pissed at both Bailey and the Chief. Eventually they decided to turn the machine off and his father dies. It's quite sad and when he leaves his father's room, all the other interns, including Alex, are outside, there to support him. This is one of the reasons I like Alex so much. Like when he talked about being on a team when the Chief asked him about Denny, or when he picked Izzie up off the bed after Denny died. Ah, tearing up now, love him!

In the week (?) following George's dad's death, he goes on a sex binge with Callie. Callie's happy to be there for him, but can't take the all nighters. I don't know how I feel about that, I guess it's cute? Anyway, she's trying to avoid George and it seems George is avoiding his feelings. Izzie tries to confront him, but he tells her that he can't get any comfort. She just hugs him and it looks like it helps a bit. George finally finds Callie at her apartment and she tries to explain to him that she is tired of having all this sex. He then tells her that he's so sad about what happened, but that when he looks at her, he's happy again. And he doesn't care if they just look at one another, even though he'd rather do more, that he just wants to be with her. Then he gets down on one knee and proposes!!! It's such a touching scene, but she doesn't necessarily look like she's ready for it. Tune in next week to find out what happens on, "I love my attending". I know, Callie's not an attending, but I was going for something there.

Finally, Burke and Cristina. Last we left them he was having a bit of a tremor in his hand, from when he was shot. Cristina decided she'd help him out and they went on a surgery run for awhile where she would assist in the surgeries. Most of the time though, he would just give her a look and she would take over. Now, this was great practice for her, but not sure if I would want an intern doing my heart palpatation chronodectomy or whatever the heck they were doing.

They got a crazy case at one point and Bailey wanted in. She put her name on the board, and Cristina erased it, causing Bailey to think that Burke didn't want her in on it. Then came George's dad, who had to have heart surgery before he had the cancer surgery. Of course George wanted the best, but after he saw how Cristina was acting, and noticed Burke's hand twitching on a fishing trip all the guys took, he realized that something was wrong.

Burke knew what he was doing was wrong, and so did Cristina, but it was hard to stop, and his hand wasn't getting any better. Eventually though, it got too much, with George's dad and all, and Cristina folded. Burke was about to fold too, anyway, but this caused a huge riff with them. And of course George wasn't too happy at Cristina, who he felt put his dad's life at risk. The Chief was upset because Burke had lied to him, and of course Derek was upset because he was his surgeon, and Burke never said anything to him in his exams. Everybody was just mad at everybody.

Derek redid the surgery and Cristina and Burke, who we were told after the show came back after the holidays, were still together after she ratted him out, but weren't talking. She wanted updates on his recovery, but everyone kept silent, so that she would talk to Burke about it. Meredith and Derek even went over for a dinner party, but Cristina wasn't invited, and Burke just ignored her. But the bond between them was strong, because she still stayed there, even after his surgery in the hospital room, slept on the couch, and he knew she was trying to see how he was, but they're both just so damn stubborn.

Cristina got an interesting case with Callie. The women obviously don't like each other, but they bonded over this runner who passed out during a marathon. Callie told Cristina at some point, that you just wanted to finish the race, even if you didn't win. And as we all know, Cristina was just being silent because she wanted to win. In a very touching scene, in their apartment, Cristina caved. She told him that she was in this for the long haul, and although she knows she was right in going to the Chief, he still thinks she was wrong. And that she doesn't want him to forgive her, because it'd be patronizing, but that she's there, and she wanted to be there, and basically everything you can say except "I love you". After she finished her rant he just looked at her and said, "Marry me Cristina Yang." OH SO CUTE!

Looks like there's going to be a hot race for the new Chief of surgery, and I'll have to start calling him by his name. Richard I think it is. All of the attendings are in it to win it, and although McDreamy's ego took a hit when he learned the Chief offered it to Burke awhile back, he, Addison, McSteamy and Burke are all now back in the running, although I'm not really sure any of them will do it. Please bring in a new hot doctor, please bring in a new hot doctor. I'm trying to manifest it here.

So that was the last 6 or so episodes of Grey's, wrapped up into a nice neat shell. A lot of detail I left off, but I think I got the gist of it. If I think of anymore crazy plot points that you just have to know, I'll be sure to update this post.

I GOT ONE HAND IN MY POCKET, THE OTHER ONE HAS A BIG ASS CHECK

Seriously

I'm gonna have to mesh my Grey's recaps, the last two weeks. I guess I'm assuming everyone watches this show because, seriously, if you don't you should.

The last show starts off with Mere being a little sick. And why wouldn't she? She has two hot men to choose from and she doesn't know which one to choose. If we could all have her problems. Her problems are so bad that she even dreams about her two boys. In bed with her. It gets too much though, as they both try and date her, but really end up trying to just out piss each other. She finally breaks it down that she needs to be dated, that was the whole point, they didn't need to try and upstage each other. It was sorta hot though.

George is feeling a bit like a douche. Last week, when Callie was living with him, he freaked out a bit. Instead of talking to her like a normal adult, he decided to flip out on her and told her he didn't like her living with him. She decided it was time to stop living with him and talking to him, and she moved into a hotel. Lucky for her everyone else is living in the same hotel in Seattle. The Chief, McSteamy and Addison.

Unfortunately, McSteamy and Addison aren't living together. He wanted to stay there and be with her, but for some reason, after a week or so of hot crazy sex she told him to go back to New York. He didn't listen to her though and has stayed to fight for her. The Chief and McSteamy ran into each other at the hotel check in and we know where this is going...

"HEY!"

The Chief has hired this sexy plastic surgeon to be an attending or whatever. They really don't go too much into the whole medical thing here. I can tell you one medical thing that I thought everyone knew about, oxygen being flammable. The group's doing rounds and Meredith's not looking too well. I know that any minute she's going to start puking. I thought for sure she'd puke on the patient. And puking on him would be the worst of his problems. He has a heart condition and lots of other things wrong with him. Bailey tells him that he has to promise not to drink and smoke when he gets home. Let's see if he listens.

Everyone's in the hallway and Addison uncomfortably walks up as Derek stares longingly at Meredith, who doesn't look too good still. Then they both see McSteamy and the Chief, right at the moment they shake hands. Everyone's confused and Derek's pissed, that's until Meredith pukes. It's nasty, although I have to say, not much comes out. They go to check on her right as the patient from earlier, still attached to his oxygen, is seen through his window lighting up a cigarette. They try to yell to him, but it's too late. He lights the cig and immediately catches on fire. This is so funny, but tragic at the same time. He did listen after all. Sorta.

He looks pretty bad as Bailey wheels him away, face crispy. Cristina and George are tending to Meredith as Derek approaches the Chief about hiring McSteamy. Of course the Chief thinks it's a good hire, since he's an amazing plastic surgeon and it'll be good for the hospital. At the same time Addison is pissed at Mark and letting him have it. Cristina then wonders out loud if Meredith's sickness could be that she's pregnant. Everyone shuts up and looks over at them. Addy doesn't seem too happy about this and Meredith throws up again.

Thank goodness, I would have drawn the line with her giving her a pelvic

Cristina and Bailey take Meredith into an exam room and Cristina does an ultrasound. Meredith admits that if she is pregnant, there's only one person who could be the father, Derek. Bailey eventually comes in with the test results, she's not pregnant, she has appendicitis and has to have surgery.

Poor Izzie. Luckily she's stopped baking. Oh, and Bailey went to the Chief and told him to meet with Izzie, that every surgeon has done something that killed a patient. That's certainly a comforting thought. Izzie got as far as the front of the hospital, stood around unrealistically for the other interns' entire shift and then couldn't go in. Alex eventually took her home and Meredith suggested she could try another time to go in.

Burke's not really doing well, more mentally then physically. Cristina's a bit hurt when she learns he's taking a leave of absence from the hospital. He tries to explain to her that it's been three weeks (really?) and recovery takes longer then that. She finally realized she has to be there for him more then she was, and support him in his quest to get a steady hand. She brings home some chicken for him to practice on and he looks like he's doing a good job. Unfortunately, when she leaves, we see that his right hand, the one that's messed up, is shaking a lot, sorta like when she grabbed his hand in the hospital in the finale.

Since Addison has way too much on her plate and can't really handle all her boy problems, she tells Alex to hit the road and go work with Mark, since he wants to be in plastic surgery anyway. McSteamy's working on the cigarette guy. Unfortunately, he's not really into this whole teaching thing, and sends Alex for some coffee. Alex isn't happy, but it's nice to see him get some of his own medicine.

Meredith's drugged up for her surgery and she is feeling no pain. She tells Bailey she's pretty and is concerned that Bailey wants George to scrub into her surgery, since his last appy he didn't do very well. I can honestly say I don't remember it.

There's some hard feelings floating around the hospital too. George and Callie meet in the hallway and she's still a little sore about the whole not wanting her to live with him thing he blurted out before. He tells her he misses her, which is cute. These two eventually sorta make up, when she invites him back to her hotel. Bailey's also getting it from McSteamy. She asks him about the burn patient, who was hers, and he doesn't really tell her anything, saying he's his patient now. Wow, and to think Addison was cheating on Derek with him. I mean, he's hot, don't get me wrong, but he isn't the nicest guy. And Derek was best friends with him? Damn.

Addison's still moping around, now that her hot ex-lover and ex-husband are working the same hospital as her ex-husband's lover. That's all confusing. She tries to talk to Bailey about it, but do we think Bailey cares? I don't. Addison's patient for the day is this stupid lady who's having a baby, but doesn't want a C-section. You know, I get it, it sucks to be cut open, but if you're baby's in trouble, wouldn't you do it? Stupid.

Meanwhile, Izzie's at Joe's meeting with Denny's father, played by Fred Ward, who is just great. Denny never talked about them and Denny's father wants to know what happened. She starts to explain the whole LVAD thing, but he says he knows his son had a bad heart, he wants to know how she became his fiance the day he died. He's a little suspicious of her.

In Meredith's room, she's having a funny time. All the drugs make her really funny. Both Derek and Finn come to visit her, and are actually civil to one another. She says that almost all of her boyfriends are there, and then George walks in and she says, now they're all here. Finn is confused until Meredith explains the awkward sex, which Derek finds funny Meredith hadn't told him about. It's a very cute scene, and then Bailey comes in and tells them all to leave.

When Burke comes back to the hospital for a check up, Derek's not really paying attention to him, just doing the normal exercises to see his flexibility. You can tell Burke wants to say something to him, but can't get a word in. Cristina comes and between her and Derek, Burke can't get out that he's having that shaking problem and doesn't feel right coming back. Derek clears him for surgery and Cristina's happy. Instead of communicating, he just leaves and she wonders what's wrong. He goes down to the morgue to practice and she helps him, realizing his hands are shaking. She then helps him through the procedure and the guy dies. Just joking, he was already dead. She says that no one needs to know. I'm really hoping she means no one needs to know and you won't do surgeries. She must because she isn't going to be standing in all of his surgeries helping like that.

If you squint your eyes they're totally kissing. HOT!

For a minute there I thought McDreamy and McSteamy were going to thrown down in a McFight, but they didn't. McSteamy wants to operate on the burn guy, but McDreamy doesn't clear him neurologically. They argue because they need to get working on his face if they're going to fix it. His wife is really worried because the guy is a car salesman. Mark warns that Derek shouldn't take out his hard feelings on a patient.

Addy makes the mistake of walking past the high Meredith's room. Meredith calls her in and says she knows she doesn't like her. Addy lets her talk and Meredith wonders how she chose Derek over Mark, since she's faced with a similar dilemma. Addison really thinks about it and says that Derek would never hurt her. They have a moment of real cuteness together and Addison says she knows Meredith won't remember it anyway. When Addy sees Derek in the hallway she warns him not to hurt Meredith, which surprised him.

Unfortunately Addison hasn't been paying attention to that dumb pregnant lady who doesn't care about her baby. A nurse stops Alex who runs to get Addison. He shows her some sort of print out and when they get to the room they force that bitch to get a C-section. She finally realizes her baby is more important than natural child birth and they take her to the OR.

Everybody goes into surgery. Alex tries to get into McSteamy's surgery, but he's wondering where his coffee is from earlier. Hot bastard. While Finn is waiting for Meredith, Derek comes in. He realizes pretty soon that Meredith tells Finn a lot, a lot about him even. He also realizes that Finn really is a good guy. Uh oh, I know what's coming.

The burn guy looks a little better, but not great. He and his wife are concerned still and McSteamy doesn't have the best bedside manner. I mean, I'm sure his in the bed manner is great, but bedside, is not so great. Luckily Bailey is there and comforts the man and his wife, and McSteamy looks on with confusion. It's called emotion, use it buddy. I can't be mad at him, really.

Meredith's out of recovery and is better. Finn gives Derek some time alone with her. She's alert and he tells her that Finn's a good guy, and he doesn't want to hurt her, and the whole, letting her go to be happy thing. See, he had a talk with the Chief about how he let Ellis go, knowing she'd be happy without him, and this inspired him. When Finn comes back into the room, Meredith breaks up with him. I'm not too sad to see him go, she's IN LOVE with Derek.

Izzie's conversation with Denny's dad didn't go well for most of it. He explains that Denny got sick and then he wrote his parents a note, saying he didn't want them to watch him die, and left. They thought he was dead all this time. She didn't know of course, and he's still a bit confused how they became engage, questions her love for him. Of course this gets her pissed, she says she has no debt, paid her own way through medical school and she wasn't with Denny for his money. It's sweet the way she explains her feelings for him. Denny's dad thinks about it a minute and then gives her an envelope, saying it's from Denny.

Callie comes to get George to go back to her hotel but he says he can't, that he needs to be with Izzie. She says that it's always one of the two girls, and is pissed. Yeah, she keeps getting left for one of his girls, but they're his best friends. Callie doesn't spend too much time upset though. She goes to Joe's and sees McSteamy. They talk for about 30 seconds and then she says she's going back to her hotel. She starts to walk out and I'm like, good, I think that'd be messed up if they hook up too. Then she turns around and asks if he's coming. Well, she's no dummy that's for sure. Although how awkward that she's going to the same hotel he's staying at anyway.

At Meredith's, George is with Izzie, who's holding the phone. Denny's dad gave her the number and code and she hasn't been able to call it. Finally she does and it's Denny's voice on the voicemail. He sounds happy and tells his parents about Izzie, and goes on for awhile about love and life and how happy he is. It's very sweet. As he says to his parents that things will never be the same, George sees and opens the envelope Denny's dad gave to Izzie. Inside is a check for $8.7 MILLION!!! Holy moly! The best part about this is Izzie had totally looked in the envelope. She didn't care about the money, she just wanted to hear Denny's voice. I love it!
