I GOT ONE HAND IN MY POCKET, THE OTHER ONE HAS A BIG ASS CHECK
The last show starts off with Mere being a little sick. And why wouldn't she? She has two hot men to choose from and she doesn't know which one to choose. If we could all have her problems. Her problems are so bad that she even dreams about her two boys. In bed with her. It gets too much though, as they both try and date her, but really end up trying to just out piss each other. She finally breaks it down that she needs to be dated, that was the whole point, they didn't need to try and upstage each other. It was sorta hot though.
George is feeling a bit like a douche. Last week, when Callie was living with him, he freaked out a bit. Instead of talking to her like a normal adult, he decided to flip out on her and told her he didn't like her living with him. She decided it was time to stop living with him and talking to him, and she moved into a hotel. Lucky for her everyone else is living in the same hotel in Seattle. The Chief, McSteamy and Addison.
Unfortunately, McSteamy and Addison aren't living together. He wanted to stay there and be with her, but for some reason, after a week or so of hot crazy sex she told him to go back to New York. He didn't listen to her though and has stayed to fight for her. The Chief and McSteamy ran into each other at the hotel check in and we know where this is going...
"HEY!"
The Chief has hired this sexy plastic surgeon to be an attending or whatever. They really don't go too much into the whole medical thing here. I can tell you one medical thing that I thought everyone knew about, oxygen being flammable. The group's doing rounds and Meredith's not looking too well. I know that any minute she's going to start puking. I thought for sure she'd puke on the patient. And puking on him would be the worst of his problems. He has a heart condition and lots of other things wrong with him. Bailey tells him that he has to promise not to drink and smoke when he gets home. Let's see if he listens.
Everyone's in the hallway and Addison uncomfortably walks up as Derek stares longingly at Meredith, who doesn't look too good still. Then they both see McSteamy and the Chief, right at the moment they shake hands. Everyone's confused and Derek's pissed, that's until Meredith pukes. It's nasty, although I have to say, not much comes out. They go to check on her right as the patient from earlier, still attached to his oxygen, is seen through his window lighting up a cigarette. They try to yell to him, but it's too late. He lights the cig and immediately catches on fire. This is so funny, but tragic at the same time. He did listen after all. Sorta.
He looks pretty bad as Bailey wheels him away, face crispy. Cristina and George are tending to Meredith as Derek approaches the Chief about hiring McSteamy. Of course the Chief thinks it's a good hire, since he's an amazing plastic surgeon and it'll be good for the hospital. At the same time Addison is pissed at Mark and letting him have it. Cristina then wonders out loud if Meredith's sickness could be that she's pregnant. Everyone shuts up and looks over at them. Addy doesn't seem too happy about this and Meredith throws up again.
Thank goodness, I would have drawn the line with her giving her a pelvic
Cristina and Bailey take Meredith into an exam room and Cristina does an ultrasound. Meredith admits that if she is pregnant, there's only one person who could be the father, Derek. Bailey eventually comes in with the test results, she's not pregnant, she has appendicitis and has to have surgery.
Poor Izzie. Luckily she's stopped baking. Oh, and Bailey went to the Chief and told him to meet with Izzie, that every surgeon has done something that killed a patient. That's certainly a comforting thought. Izzie got as far as the front of the hospital, stood around unrealistically for the other interns' entire shift and then couldn't go in. Alex eventually took her home and Meredith suggested she could try another time to go in.
Burke's not really doing well, more mentally then physically. Cristina's a bit hurt when she learns he's taking a leave of absence from the hospital. He tries to explain to her that it's been three weeks (really?) and recovery takes longer then that. She finally realized she has to be there for him more then she was, and support him in his quest to get a steady hand. She brings home some chicken for him to practice on and he looks like he's doing a good job. Unfortunately, when she leaves, we see that his right hand, the one that's messed up, is shaking a lot, sorta like when she grabbed his hand in the hospital in the finale.
Since Addison has way too much on her plate and can't really handle all her boy problems, she tells Alex to hit the road and go work with Mark, since he wants to be in plastic surgery anyway. McSteamy's working on the cigarette guy. Unfortunately, he's not really into this whole teaching thing, and sends Alex for some coffee. Alex isn't happy, but it's nice to see him get some of his own medicine.
Meredith's drugged up for her surgery and she is feeling no pain. She tells Bailey she's pretty and is concerned that Bailey wants George to scrub into her surgery, since his last appy he didn't do very well. I can honestly say I don't remember it.
There's some hard feelings floating around the hospital too. George and Callie meet in the hallway and she's still a little sore about the whole not wanting her to live with him thing he blurted out before. He tells her he misses her, which is cute. These two eventually sorta make up, when she invites him back to her hotel. Bailey's also getting it from McSteamy. She asks him about the burn patient, who was hers, and he doesn't really tell her anything, saying he's his patient now. Wow, and to think Addison was cheating on Derek with him. I mean, he's hot, don't get me wrong, but he isn't the nicest guy. And Derek was best friends with him? Damn.
Addison's still moping around, now that her hot ex-lover and ex-husband are working the same hospital as her ex-husband's lover. That's all confusing. She tries to talk to Bailey about it, but do we think Bailey cares? I don't. Addison's patient for the day is this stupid lady who's having a baby, but doesn't want a C-section. You know, I get it, it sucks to be cut open, but if you're baby's in trouble, wouldn't you do it? Stupid.
Meanwhile, Izzie's at Joe's meeting with Denny's father, played by Fred Ward, who is just great. Denny never talked about them and Denny's father wants to know what happened. She starts to explain the whole LVAD thing, but he says he knows his son had a bad heart, he wants to know how she became his fiance the day he died. He's a little suspicious of her.
In Meredith's room, she's having a funny time. All the drugs make her really funny. Both Derek and Finn come to visit her, and are actually civil to one another. She says that almost all of her boyfriends are there, and then George walks in and she says, now they're all here. Finn is confused until Meredith explains the awkward sex, which Derek finds funny Meredith hadn't told him about. It's a very cute scene, and then Bailey comes in and tells them all to leave.
When Burke comes back to the hospital for a check up, Derek's not really paying attention to him, just doing the normal exercises to see his flexibility. You can tell Burke wants to say something to him, but can't get a word in. Cristina comes and between her and Derek, Burke can't get out that he's having that shaking problem and doesn't feel right coming back. Derek clears him for surgery and Cristina's happy. Instead of communicating, he just leaves and she wonders what's wrong. He goes down to the morgue to practice and she helps him, realizing his hands are shaking. She then helps him through the procedure and the guy dies. Just joking, he was already dead. She says that no one needs to know. I'm really hoping she means no one needs to know and you won't do surgeries. She must because she isn't going to be standing in all of his surgeries helping like that.
If you squint your eyes they're totally kissing. HOT!
For a minute there I thought McDreamy and McSteamy were going to thrown down in a McFight, but they didn't. McSteamy wants to operate on the burn guy, but McDreamy doesn't clear him neurologically. They argue because they need to get working on his face if they're going to fix it. His wife is really worried because the guy is a car salesman. Mark warns that Derek shouldn't take out his hard feelings on a patient.
Addy makes the mistake of walking past the high Meredith's room. Meredith calls her in and says she knows she doesn't like her. Addy lets her talk and Meredith wonders how she chose Derek over Mark, since she's faced with a similar dilemma. Addison really thinks about it and says that Derek would never hurt her. They have a moment of real cuteness together and Addison says she knows Meredith won't remember it anyway. When Addy sees Derek in the hallway she warns him not to hurt Meredith, which surprised him.
Unfortunately Addison hasn't been paying attention to that dumb pregnant lady who doesn't care about her baby. A nurse stops Alex who runs to get Addison. He shows her some sort of print out and when they get to the room they force that bitch to get a C-section. She finally realizes her baby is more important than natural child birth and they take her to the OR.
Everybody goes into surgery. Alex tries to get into McSteamy's surgery, but he's wondering where his coffee is from earlier. Hot bastard. While Finn is waiting for Meredith, Derek comes in. He realizes pretty soon that Meredith tells Finn a lot, a lot about him even. He also realizes that Finn really is a good guy. Uh oh, I know what's coming.
The burn guy looks a little better, but not great. He and his wife are concerned still and McSteamy doesn't have the best bedside manner. I mean, I'm sure his in the bed manner is great, but bedside, is not so great. Luckily Bailey is there and comforts the man and his wife, and McSteamy looks on with confusion. It's called emotion, use it buddy. I can't be mad at him, really.
Meredith's out of recovery and is better. Finn gives Derek some time alone with her. She's alert and he tells her that Finn's a good guy, and he doesn't want to hurt her, and the whole, letting her go to be happy thing. See, he had a talk with the Chief about how he let Ellis go, knowing she'd be happy without him, and this inspired him. When Finn comes back into the room, Meredith breaks up with him. I'm not too sad to see him go, she's IN LOVE with Derek.
Izzie's conversation with Denny's dad didn't go well for most of it. He explains that Denny got sick and then he wrote his parents a note, saying he didn't want them to watch him die, and left. They thought he was dead all this time. She didn't know of course, and he's still a bit confused how they became engage, questions her love for him. Of course this gets her pissed, she says she has no debt, paid her own way through medical school and she wasn't with Denny for his money. It's sweet the way she explains her feelings for him. Denny's dad thinks about it a minute and then gives her an envelope, saying it's from Denny.
Callie comes to get George to go back to her hotel but he says he can't, that he needs to be with Izzie. She says that it's always one of the two girls, and is pissed. Yeah, she keeps getting left for one of his girls, but they're his best friends. Callie doesn't spend too much time upset though. She goes to Joe's and sees McSteamy. They talk for about 30 seconds and then she says she's going back to her hotel. She starts to walk out and I'm like, good, I think that'd be messed up if they hook up too. Then she turns around and asks if he's coming. Well, she's no dummy that's for sure. Although how awkward that she's going to the same hotel he's staying at anyway.
At Meredith's, George is with Izzie, who's holding the phone. Denny's dad gave her the number and code and she hasn't been able to call it. Finally she does and it's Denny's voice on the voicemail. He sounds happy and tells his parents about Izzie, and goes on for awhile about love and life and how happy he is. It's very sweet. As he says to his parents that things will never be the same, George sees and opens the envelope Denny's dad gave to Izzie. Inside is a check for $8.7 MILLION!!! Holy moly! The best part about this is Izzie had totally looked in the envelope. She didn't care about the money, she just wanted to hear Denny's voice. I love it!

HOUSE OF CRAZY
These people are ridiculous. Aaron's a child, barely 18, and he's downing shots and then throwing up in Nick's car. Nick and Aaron get into a fight and Nick brings up some old shite. He tells Aaron how messed up that was and how angry he was when Aaron took Paris out on a date the day after they broke up. Aaron's gross. Nick has some pent up mommy issues, and the girls are just as messed up, even though they were never in the spotlight like they're brothers.
