PASSIONS CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!!
JACK IS BACK AND BADASSSSS
Yes! It's finally here! We've waited since May to see what happened with the amazing Jack Bauer and now we know. The following takes place between 6am and 7am!!!! I'm so excited! Hehe.
We learn there's been another terrorist attack in American cities. Almost 1000 people are dead because of the many attacks happening over the last few weeks, months, I don't remember. We see another one happen, a bus blow up because of a suicide bomber. Karen's briefing the President. She's the Director of Homeland Security. Also with her is Tom Lennox, the President's Chief of Staff. And guess who's the President??? It's Wayne Palmer!!! Yay! I love this so much. Two black Presidents!!! Hehe. Karen is arguing that they shouldn't be locking Muslims up. Apparently Tom thinks putting them in Japanese-like internment camps is a good idea, but Karen diagrees. Wayne doesn't want to sign the thing to imprison Muslims. I can already tell this Tom guy is gonna be a little weasel. As they're talking they learn about the bus explosion in LA. They believe that a terrorist named Assad is behind it. They want Asaad dead, thinking once he's dead, the bombings will stop. Tom doesn't like the idea, wants contingency plans begun. CTU is going to eliminate Assad and Wayne says they're paying a heavy price to get him.
Yay! Milo's back. I loved him from season 1. Chloe's husband, Morris, is back too. We learn they're just dating now, but they're very cute. Chloe looks good, her hair's a lot darker and she's been keeping herself up. Oh, Morris must think she looks good too, he grabs her butt. Cute!
Chloe checks her computer and there's a priority message. She talks to a new girl, Nadia, who seems to be in charge. She reluctantly tells her that they've found a way to get Assad, Jack Bauer. Apparently our dear sweet President Palmer the second, has negotiated with the Chinese who have agreed to release Jack. Yay!!!! And Bill and Curtis are going to pick him up!!! They both agree that the President must have paid a big price to get Jack back. They go to a plane and the doors drop open.
There's Jack! Oh, he looks like crap. Why am I a little teary eyed seeing him? Because this is the best show on television!!! Bill demands they take the cuffs off. Yeah Bill, get 'em! Not only does Jack look dirty with a long beard (although he works it out) his hand looks to be burned as well. Curtis takes Jack and he stares down the Chinese guy. Get 'em Curtis! The Chinese guy says that Jack hasn't spoken in 2 years, never breaking his silence. Yay Jack! He figures the price the US paid for him was high, it must be important. I'm just filing this little scene in my mind because I'm sure it'll come up later in the season.
Jack's a bit surprised Wayne is President. A lot's changed Jackie. Bill starts to debrief him and my Jack doesn't look too good. One of Assad's men, Fayed, called them and said that they'll give him up for $25 M. Oh, and one more stipulation. Fayed wants Jack dead. They explain that once they give him up, he'll be on his own, and they won't be able to track him. He tries to talk and it's hard. He' asks about Audrey and Kim, who don't know he's back. He wants to keep it that way. He goes over to the mirror to wash up and takes his shirt off. He has lots of scars on his back and he looks at himself. I guess it's probably been two years. What'd they do to him?!?
Bill calls Karen and says they have Jack. Bill wasn't prepared to see Jack like that. Neither was I Bill! Awe, how sweet, Bill and Karen are married. Bill's about to take Jack to the drop off point.
Bill and Curtis are with Jack and Wayne calls. He doesn't hear Bill calling him and jumps when he touches him. Wayne gets on with Jack. Wayne doesn't know what to say to him and tries to explain. Jack says he understands what's expected of him. Wayne says his sacrifice won't be in vain. After he hangs up, Wayne starts to doubt himself and Tom says he'll lead the country whether he wants to or not. He's the President. Wayne thinks sacrificing Jack is a mistake and maybe he should call it off. Tom says he's doing the right thing, that David would do the same thing, it's their only option. That's so true. The difference is that David would have faith that Jack would be okay. Tom reminds Wayne that Jack has to be sacrificed so the country can survive.
Karen confronts Tom privately and says she heard he was setting up internment camps and that the President didn't authorize it. He says he's just positioning, not authorizing. Tom says he wants to be ready when the President says okay. Karen says the ACLU is already filing complaints. Karen's pissed and Tom says that security has its price.
Bill and Curtis are dropping Jack off. Fayed calls and tells them to secure Jack to the grate and leave him. Bill doesn't want to do it but Jack says to do it. Again, Bill doesn't know what to say to him. Jack says that there's a difference between dying for something and dying for nothing and that's why he stayed alive in China, because he didn't want to die for nothing, that today at least he gets to die for something and that it will be a relief. Oh, sad Jack is breaking my heart. Bill and Curtis reluctantly leave him. I'm a little teary eyed again.
When we get back, a man and woman are watching TV, they don't think their son should go to school because of all that's happening with the terrorist attacks. She doesn't want to scare their son. The son comes back in and says he went to his friend, Ahmed's, house but the F.B.I. are arresting his dad. They watch out of the window as the man gets taken away. Ahmed goes back into the house because there are two guys from the neighborhood staring him down. They follow and start banging on his door. The family it watching from across the street and the son wants to go help, but his dad won't let him. The son convinces him to go help Ahmed and he goes over. By the time he gets there the two guys have busted down the door, yelling to Ahmed that he needs to leave the neighborhood. The dad's able to stop them and he tells Ahmed to come over until everything works out with his dad.
Bill calls Nadia and says they should be ready to catch Fayed and how Jack's giving his life for this operation. I don't think so.
Morris sits down next to Chloe and says he's going to get a visual on Jack on an unofficial satellite. Luckily it works and they get a visual on Jack. He tells her to call Bill. Fayed picks Jack up and says he's been waiting for this for a long time. They punch Jack and put him into a van.
One of Fayed's guys figures out Morris' satellite trick. Fayed calls CTU and says that they have to redirect the satellite and have thirty seconds to do it or their deal is off. Milo and Nadia figure out it's Chloe and Morris and demands they shut it down. They do, right when Fayed's thirty seconds is up. Fayed tells them now he'll have to think about their deal. Bill comes in and is pissed. He doesn't fire them but says she isn't the only one mourning Jack and hopefully they didn't mess up the operation and Jack isn't going to die for nothing.
Bill calls Karen and tells her what happened. Karen doesn't understand and is pissed when she finds out. Karen says that this has to work out because if it doesn't, there are people who will just tear up the Constitution.
Fayed brings Jack in, he looks beaten up again. I can't take much more of this wounded Jack. They take him into a room with a bunch of torture devices. Fayed hits Jack a few times. That bastard! He says he won't let Jack die until he's ready and that Jack will feel what his brother felt. He has a big 'ol knife. He starts stabbing Jack in the arm, where he claims the nerves are bundled. Yikes. Then he pours vinegar or something on it. Jack's heart starts racing, along with mine. Jack tells Fayed that he has to give CTU Assad's location. Uh oh, I think Fayed is the real guy behind this because he says Assad has come to stop the attacks, not to do them. That Assad's come there to stop Fayed. Oh crap, he then stabs Jack in the back and his heart is racing. He then tells Jack that he will die for nothing. Oh no he di'int!
Fayed then calls CTU and tells them Assad's location. Meanwhile, Jack's listening, mumbling. I think he's memorizing the location Fayed just gave CTU. Chloe's crying when she realizes they've gotten Assad's location and it's just about time they're gonna kill Jack. Morris tries to comfort her, telling her that no one understands the greater good better then Jack. True, true.
Fayed's about to cut off Jack's finger when he's interrupted, told there's a call. Uh oh, Jack's getting his second wind. The kid, Ahmed, calls Fayed and says that his father was arrested and he has no idea what 'they' are doing. Looks like the F.B.I. got the wrong guy. Big surprise there.
Yes, Jack's back! He pulls his heart monitor off and one of Fayed's guys comes to check on him. When he gets close enough Jack starts biting his neck. Anybody else get a Lost Boys flashback here? Anyway, he gets the keys out of his pocket and gets his handcuffs off. Fayed wants to know if the F.B.I. found the package and Ahmed says no.
Fayed comes back into the room and guess what? Jack's gone!!! Jack's under the grates in the room and starts running through the sewer system.
Milo confronts Morris. These two obviously have some animosity towards each other. Milo doesn't like the fact that Morris lies. And Morris because he thinks Milo's let this new found power go to his head.
Meanwhile, Jack breaks into a car and calls CTU. Everyone's surprised and Jack tries to explain to them that Fayed is the bad guy, and that Assad, the guy they're about to kill, is actually the better guy. Not great, because Assad's still a terrorist. Jack's just learned that he's willing to talk his people into stopping the terrorist attacks and try to negotiate peace with the West. Nobody really believes that this is true. He tells him to put him through to the White House. Jack speaks to Palmer and Wayne's excited Jacks' alive. Jack tells him what he knows. Nobody thinks this is a good idea, not taking this opportunity to kill a known terrorist, even if they have the wrong man. Wayne tells them to go through with it. Um, anybody want to go get Jack. Okay, Bill is going to have someone get him.
But Jack thinks it'll be too late. He's remembered the coordinates of where Assad is and is going to get him!!! He doesn't tell Bill that, but we figure it out when he types them into the handy cell phone he found in the car he just stole.
Fayed calls Ahmed who's being helped by his friends to find his father. Fayed wonders if he has the package. He says it's in the house and Fayed makes him go get it. He starts to cross the street and his friend tries to give him a necklace for good luck but he thinks the friend might want it, and need it. Man, this sucks that he's a terrorist.
They're just about ready for the attack on Assad and Jack's busting his way through Inglewood, where Assad is. He finds the house and runs up to it as the helicopter says it's only 3 minutes until they get there. Jack's hiding in the backyard when he sees one of the guys walking in. He attacks the guard and goes into the house. He better hurry, they're almost there!
He finds Assad and they hold each other at gunpoint. Jack tells him what's going on and that there's a transponder somewhere in the house that's leading CTU to them. Assad tells him that there's no transponder. Jack figures out that one of his men must have it. Jack puts his gun down as a show of faith and they search one of his men and find it. Jack thinks they need to leave now and tries to pick up the gun but Assad says that if he's telling the truth there's no need for it. A few of the men stay behind, I guess, to erase everything on their computers. Jack, Assad, and the guy who betrayed him, rush out of the house. Just in time too, they blow the house up within seconds of them leaving.
Damn, everybody's in this show, there's the guy from the last two Matrix movies, and the guy from Oz, oh and Regina King. The Oz guy is an F.B.I. agent and they're at the Islamic-American Alliance. Regina is an attorney there. The Matrix guy, Walid, says they should just give whatever it is they're looking for to the agents. It seems they're trying to get the employee files, without the a warrant or anything. Damn you Tom Lennox! Regina King is pissed, oh and she's a Palmer sister!!! Yes! Sandra Palmer calls her bro and tells him about the F.B.I. being there and Wayne's curious too because he didn't authorize that. Oh, she thinks it's Tom that's behind this. You go girl, it was him! Wayne says she never liked Tom and she reminds him that neither did David. Uh oh. When she hangs up she kisses Walid, nice.
Bill calls Wayne and says that Assad wasn't there in the house when they blew it up. They're confused and upset because they thought this would stop the attacks. Damn, Wayne asks Tom what he thinks will happen and he says more attacks. Wow, and they pay him for that?
Fayed comes into a warehouse and says that Ahmed should come with the package soon. One of their guys has a bomb strapped to him and is sweating profusely. I guess being a walking bomb yourself does that to a person.
Jack and Assad find another house, I guess some sort of safe house. Oh no, some people are moving so they know they won't be there. Jack wants to know if it was true, the ceasefire, wanting to get political with the West and solve their problems that way and Assad says yes. Assad sees the scars on Jack's back.
Meanwhile, at CTU, Chloe finds video of Jack rescuing Assad. She shows Bill who thinks they shouldn't tell anyone and that Jack thinks Assad knows where Fayed is, and that's why he's with him. He thinks they should look for Fayed as well. They decided to do that, and keep it to themselves.
Assad doesn't want to go to CTU like Jack suggests and wants to find Fayed on his own. Jack tries to torture the other guy who had the transponder, to find Fayed but after a minute says that he see in his eyes that he doesn't know anything. Assad doesn't agree with this and stabs the poor guy in the knee. He gets out information. Uh oh, Jack's lost his touch! Assad kills the guy and says that he needs Jack's help to find Fayed. Jack says he doesn't know how to do this anymore and Assad assures him that he'll remember.
The F.B.I. are back with Sandra, asking for information on their employees, this time with a warrant. She reluctantly tells them where to find it and then immediately goes to a computer while they walk away. I believe she's erasing it. Yup, she's erasing it. She decides to tell them. She used the shredding program. Nice. Uh oh, they arrest her, and Walid! They wonder if this was the best idea, seeing she is the President's (two of them's) sister. He says she doesn't get special treatment.
Meanwhile in suburbia, Ahmed decides to get that package Fayed was asking about. His friend sees one of the a-holes from before going into Ahmed's house. When he gets in there he starts attacking Ahmed. Eventually Ahmed gets a gun out of his bag and shoots the guy in the leg. And then he shoots him in the chest. His friend comes in and sees the dead guy on the ground and that Ahmed is hurt. In the fight a large piece of glass lodged in his leg. I hope he doesn't have to shoot his friend. He wants to help him, call 911, but Ahmed pulls the gun on him. He says he doesn't want to hurt him. The kid thinks they're friends but Ahmed says he doesn't even know how to pronounce his name. Uh oh, he's in trouble.
Assad and Jack arrive at the place the transponder guy gave him and they notice the guy who has the bomb on his chest walking with another guy. They realize it's another strike. They also realize the men are going into the subway. Who uses the subway in LA? I guess some people do. Who work in the city maybe. Anyway, subways in LA baffle me.
They follow them underground. Jack wants to stop the bomb and Assad says that the bomber is dead, the handler with him will lead them to Fayed. But Jack's a good guy, he wants to go after the bomber and tells Assad to go after the handler. Jack gets onto the subway with the bomber. Oh no. I mean I can only assume Jack will be okay, but he makes me nervous doing things like this. Meanwhile, Assad follows the handler. The handler says that when the bomber gets to Union Station he'll blow it up.
Assad follows the handler who jumps into a car. Jack makes his way to the terrorist and is stopped by a ticket taker. Okay, the two times I've ridden the subway I didnt' encounter a ticket taker. Anyway, Jack identifies himself and says that if the man notices anything he'll blow it up and tells him to walk away. The guy does as Jack slowly approaches the bomber. Unfortunately the bomber sees the ticket taker's face and almost pushes the button, but Jack sees him and they fight. He does push the button eventually but Jack kicks him out of the back door and the bomb explodes outside, and no one is hurt.
The handler tells Fayed that the attack failed, but he thinks it's okay, they had other attacks. CTU realizes Jack was there at the subway because no one was killed by the bomber. They have also found that Fayed is the one behind the attacks, just like Jack said, from a call they intercepted. Karen tells the President and he's upset, since he approved the attack. They realize Jack was right and Wayne says that this is going to get much worse. Assad calls Jack and tells him where he is and Jack says he'll come find him and they'll be able to find Fayed, together.
So that was the season premiere. I love this show!!! And the previews for the "second half of the season premiere" look amazing!!! At some point Jack is crying and says something like, "I can't do this anymore". OMG. And they say that something happens to turn things around or something that makes me think some shite goes down. UPDATE: I've watched this next episode and all I can say is "Damn Damn Damn!"

THE AMAZING RACE ALLSTARS!!!
THE GOLDEN GLOBES
I believe this picture speaks for itself. It's yelling "I'm hot! I'm hot!"
Really Beyonce? Really? Did you practice that in front of the mirror?
The big winner of the night was Jennifer Hudson. Do you realize this girl was on American Idol not two years ago? And she lost! Thank goodness she did though because the producers would have a serious part of her ass and she probably wouldn't have been able to do the movie.
She's not ugly at all!
Can I tell you the moment last night that left me a little teary eyed? Okay, I teared up twice. The first time was when Ugly Betty won for Best Comedy. The second time was when Ugly Betty herself, America Ferrera won. She gave the cutest little speech which I thought for sure would be marred by the famous Camryn Manheim "This is for fat chicks everywhere". Thank gooodness sweet America didn't do that.
24 didn't win, and neither did Jack, I mean Keifer. Grey's won for the Best Drama, and I'm okay with that, since it is my second favorite show. And Hugh Lurie won for Best Actor in a Drama for House. Again, I'm not totally about to slit my wrists, but I would have liked Keifer to have won. Or 24 to win anything, which it didn't. What the hell's that about? And I can't begrudge Forrest Whitaker for winning Best Actor since I hear he was amazing in The Last King of Scotland. I would have liked to see Will win, because he is a great actor, and Leo. I think fate is against Leo though. It seems last time he was up for awards it was against Jamie Foxx and Ray. Poor guy. Leo does deserve an award, but he and his agent should really see what other movies are out and try to work around it.
Work it out girl!
Can I mention Vanessa Williams? Talk about beautiful. Tim Allen said it best when he said, 'If good looking were minutes, it'd be a long day.' Her hair, her dress, her face. The make-up artist did a good job covering the wrinkles and marks. They should hire her on Ugly Betty. I'm sorry, but I have an HDTV and sometimes she can look harsh. Still attractive, but harsh nonetheless.
Gorgeous!
And wait, I can't stop without talking about my girl crush. Actually, both of them were there. First let's talk about Miss Jennifer Garner/Mrs. Affleck. Yeah, wore a sorta boring dress. I mean, this girl has worked it out with gorgeous red or purple dresses and she chooses this boring thing? But still, face, dimples, gorgeous, love it. And then of course was my true love, Katherine Heigl. Alone because fiancee Josh Kelly was touring, looking so beautiful I just didn't know what to do with myself. Our Izzie sure cleans up nice.
All in all it was a good show. Warren Beatty bored the panties off me. And Tom Hank's plugs need some work, but damn, is it just me or does John Stamos get better with age? Maybe it's an ER thing (Clooney anyone?). And who saw my lovely Milo, looking all cute in a tux with all the other Heroes. I was sad it didn't win, and Jeremy Irons over Masi? I would take Hiro any day over some boring Brit. No offense to my British readers, but can you get your own award show please? Helen, Hugh, Jeremy and some other guy who won for the Queen. Please. Congratulations though.
See, told ya.
I've added a few more pictures here at the bottom.
You know I love Hanks, but, um.. hairplugs!
How embarassing to walk in with that. I'm sure he likes her that way though. (She actually looks nice)
That's her boyfriend, Micheal Buble doing that. Yes, I said her BOYfriend
What the hell's going on here? Are they at prom?
I love my girl, but she needs a comb.
I would feel sorry for her, but she's choosing to sleep with that every night.
Looks how beautiful Drew looks!
