PLUGGIN' THE HOLE

I never thought I'd be so happy to be back in prison. Not that last week's flashback episode wasn't great, but Michael has a beard, and I like that. The thing I like most about this show (okay, second most) is that I have no idea what's going to happen.

We start with Michael in Pope's office doing the Taj Mahal stick model for his wife. I totally forgot about this and something tells me this might end up helping them in some way shape or form in the future. While he's in there Dr. Sara comes in and wants to talk to Pope alone. She and Michael share a glance. When Michael's gone Sara drops the bomb to Pope that she thinks maybe it's an officer who gave Michael those burns. She shows him the piece of guard's uniform she has in a plastic bag.

In Michael's cell he's trying to sketch out the blueprints from memory but not having real luck. He laments that he studied these things so well before he came in and is frustrated he can't remember. He likens it to taking a test you studied for ten years ago that if you fail your brother will die. I hate those kinds of tests, I was never good in that subject.

Hey, at least he owns his look

Later, all the inmates are hanging around inside and Bellick yells that it's time for P.I. While T-Bag and Sucre walk out a new inmate, Annie the Tranny, dressed like woman with a crazy pink thong walks by. T-Bag makes some prison comment about him/her pulling on a lot of pockets. Sucre wonders if he/she pulled on his. T-Bag seems disgusted at the idea of having sex with the newbie. Yeah, Sucre, why would he have sex with a transvestite when he can have sex with children, or Tweener, or someone else much better then a transvestite. Geesh.

As they're walking to the guard's room for P.I., C-Note wonders if they're going to get out anytime soon. Michael says there's a little hiccup. I don't think the other guys know about the tattoo removal. In the room Michael's still trying to remember the blueprints. Sucre asks why he just doesn't go back to the psych ward . Michael tells the silly Sucre that he doesn't have the guard's uniform anymore, but even if he did, if he got down there it's a mess. As they're talking, one of the C.O.'s comes in and says that their work is nearly done in there because they're going to be laying carpet and Bellick is getting professionals to do that. Uh oh. Once the guard leaves T-Bag's a little worried, seeing there's a big hole in the floor. Michael assures them that it's going to be okay, that they'll just put a piece of plywood over it and fill it over with concert. When they need to get through it they'll just hit it with a sledgehammer when they want to get out. I'm thinking that'll be sorta loud, but I trust Michael knows what he's doing.

In with Bellick, he's called for Tweener to come into his office. When he walks in a tall ugly ass mofo is standing there. His name is Avocado. I actually think that's a cute name. But he's definitely not a cute guy. He looks happy to see that Tweener's so young and gives him a once over before he leaves. Once he's gone Bellick presses Tweener for any information he has about Scofield. When Tweener says he doesn't have anything, Bellick threatens to send him to Avocado if he doesn't get him something soon. Tweener points out that it's hard to get in with Michael since he's hanging with his P.I. friends. A light goes off in Bellick's mostly empty head.

Next we see Tweener , he and Bellick walk into the room with Michael and the boys. He tells them that they've done so well he's going to give them an extra set of hands. The guys aren't too happy about it and really, Tweener's not either. When Bellick leaves the guys feign like their brushes need to be cleaned and send Tweener out to wash them. How are they going to get the hole filled while they're under the watchful eye of Tweener?

Just another day at the office. Agents Brinker and Kellerman meet up in the hallway and Brinker shows him the picture of Lincoln and Michael's father. She tells him that he used to work for the "Company" and that he went rogue. She admits to him that he's also Lincoln's father and Kellerman rightfully says what a dumbass idea it was to set up a guy as a patsy whose father is a rogue agent. Brinker basically tells him that it's none of his business, that he's just a glorified bodyguard. He's a little ticked at her attitude.

In the guard's room C-Note is just about done mixing the concrete when one of the C.O.'s shows up. They quickly hide the hole and concrete. The C.O. tells Michael that Pope wants to see him and tells the rest of the guys to head back to A-block. They try to argue that they have the rest of the day but the guy's not hearing it. The group thinks they're going to be busted but Michael says that he'll come in later to get it patched up and for them not to worry.

Lincoln's still in solitary and a C.O. comes in and tells him that his execution's been rescheduled for a week from Friday. Hopefully it's Saturday which means they have nearly two weeks. He then asks the C.O. if he can go out into the yard. The guy won't let him and says that unless he gets a go ahead from Pope, he can't let him out.

With Veronica, she, LJ and Nick are trying to figure out who it was who dropped off the evidence to stop the execution. LJ's frustrated because all of this just leads them back to square one and they're nowhere closer to getting his father out. After his little breakdown Nick says that these people will be brought to justice. LJ doesn't want justice, he wants revenge. Nick and Veronica think that they'll slip up and they'll catch them. Hopefully they'll slip up before a week from Friday. Nick thinks of a possible slip up, the guy Kellerman left for dead in the well. The three of them go up to the cabin and find the well. They body's still in there so they send LJ down on a rope. Something tells me Veronica would have weighed less and LJ could helped lower her down easier, but that wouldn't have worked for the story. When he's down in the well LJ finds Quinn's cell phone and before he's pulled up he sees something Quinn's written on the inside of the well... "Kellerman" and over that is written "O. Kravecki". They pull LJ up and he doesn't say anything.

Michael finally makes it to Pope's office. He tells him about the piece of uniform that Dr. Sara found in his flesh. Michael doesn't say anything and Pope wonders if an officer is abusing him. Michael stays silent even when Pope threatens to put him in solitary confinement. Why he doesn't just say it was Bellick and get that bastard off his back I don't even know.

God what I wouldn't give to be that floor

Next we see Michael's being dragged down the hall to solitary. Lincoln hears his brother's voice and goes to the small window where he sees them throwing Michael into the cell. After he gets thrown in Linc lays on the ground and starts trying to get Michael's attention through the drain in the ground. Amazingly, they can hear each other. Michael says that he's worried Pope's going to figure out what's going on. Well he's certain to if you guys start blabbing about it through the drain.

Meanwhile, C-Note calls his wife. Since he didn't show up the other day like he said he would, she's pretty worried. So worried that she called the Army to find out what was going on with his division. They told her that they were going to be deployed for six more months. Why they would give this woman who's husband isn't even in the military all of this information I don't know. C-Note gets worried when she starts questioning him. He covers and says that he's actually working under another division, and that division will be home in a few days. She buys it, although still a bit suspicious. I don't blame her for not figuring it out though, why would you ever think your husband's not really in the Army and is actually in jail?

When C-Note comes back Sucre lays it on them that Michael's in solitary. They're all worried but Sucre thinks it's his butt on the line most because he's Michael's cellmate. I agree with him on that one. They also realize that he's the only one who can get through to it because he's the only one with a hole in his cell to go through. C-Note insists that it has to happen that night since the carpet's going to be laid the next morning. Sucre then wonders how he's going to get back because once he closes up the hole he won't have a way back in. They say that obviously Michael had a plan. Too bad they can't talk to him.

In solitary Michael's still trying to go over the blueprints in his head. Lincoln asks him what he's doing and Michael says he's trying to remember what's under the psych ward. Lincoln says that he should figure out how to get out of solitary. Michael notices a hole in his shirt and quickly takes it off and starts ripping it into shreds. Lincoln keeps trying to get him to talk.

In his cell Sucre's freaking out, not knowing what to do. He looks down and sees the transvestite walk by and gets an idea. Hopefully not that kind of idea. Sucre finds T-Bag and T-Bag refuses to do whatever it is he's asked him to do. Sucre says that it's his butt on the line since he's going to have to take one for the team. Okay, talking to T-Bag about your butt and taking one for the team may not be the best combination. T-Bag approaches Annie and snaps her thongs and makes some nasty comment, pushing her against the wall, asking if she's a "party girl". Ewe. Later, T-Bag goes back to Sucre's cell and hands him something, telling him he can't tell anyone about this.

LJ's in the cabin kitchen washing up. He notices the secret cabinet and opens it, seeing Nick's father's gun collection. Veronica comes in and doesn't know what he's been looking at and says to hurry, that they're leaving. After she walks out he eyes the gun cabinet again. In the car Veronica and Nick try and turn Quinn's phone on but the batteries are low. Veronica thinks if they got the phone charged it'd be a breakthrough. She then wonders if they're going to just leave Quinn up there. I'm not really sure what she wants to do with him but Nick says that they're going to just leave him where he is. I'd think having this government agency guy in a well on your father's property would be some sort of evidence of something going on but who knows, that's just me.

On a television is a story about how an energy bill on Capitol Hill is at a deadlock and it's going to go to the Vice President for a tie-breaker. Dr. Sara's at a bar with one of the nurses, Katie. Katie tells her she needs to get out more. We saw last week what happens when she gets out more, but I guess Katie doesn't know about our Dr. Sara's little problem. Why she's in a bar after being in recovery I'm not sure. I don't actually think she's drinking because she's eating, but why they didn't go to The Olive Garden I don't know. Katie asks her about Michael and whether or not she wants to hit that. Dr. Sara admits that he's interesting, and attractive. Hell yeah he is. But she assures Katie that she would never get involved with an inmate. Katie points out that it takes her twenty minutes to roll up his sleeve to give him his shot. Ha, that's because she's no dummy.

Speaking of Michael, he's now ripped his shirt up enough to try and reconstruct the blueprints. When he gets frustrated he starts freaking out and cuts himself. After seeing the blood he starts punching the wall. This looks like it really hurts and Lincoln gets worried when Michael won't answer his calls. Michael's just crazily punching the wall harder and harder as Lincoln tries to get him to talk to him.

Sucre's finally made up his mind what to do and heads out through the sink to the guard's room. He pops up underneath the carpet and pushes his way through. He then quickly mixes and starts laying the concrete. As he's finishing up he hears the jingle of keys and stops. He tries to hurry and in his haste kicks a bucket. (har har) and the C.O. hears it. When he eventually makes it into the room everything is put together and he sees the bucket on the floor and assumes it just fell. He walks right past Sucre and doesn't notice him. He must have the same blinders on that the guard that was down with Michael when he burnt himself had on. The guard leaves and after a minute Sucre makes his break for the manhole Michael came up when he was dressed like a guard. Unfortunately, he doesn't make it and the alarms go off and they catch him.

In Bellick's office he's going through what's going to happen to Sucre, including 10 more years added to his sentence. Sucre insists he wasn't trying to escape. Bellick grabs Sucre and nearly chokes him until he admits that he was waiting for something to come over the wall. Bellick thinks drugs will still add years to his sentence. Sucre says that it wasn't drugs, and Bellick searches him. He finds the thongs Annie was wearing and thinks they're Scure's fiancĂ©’s. Sucre wonders if he understands now and he says that he does, as he smells the panties. Double ewe. Two guards drag Sucre into the solitary cell in the same block as Michael and Linc.

Lincoln sees them throw Sucre in the cell and they try and get Michael's attention. Lincoln gets worried and yells for the C.O. When the guard comes in he's a little miffed until he sees something in Michael's cell and runs off for help. He doesn't tell Lincoln anything which is just wrong.

Meanwhile, Nick and Veronica are going out to get a charger for the phone while LJ is on the couch. Why they didn't stop at Best Buy on their way home I'll never know. Anyway, as soon as they're gone LJ jumps up and Googles "O. Kravecki" . He finds the number and calls it. Sure enough, when the answering machine picks up he recognizes it as Kellerman's voice.

I love it how he really commits to the role

Dr. Sara's finally shown up to check Michael out. Doesn't this woman ever leave the prison? Linc still can't see what's going on. In the cell Dr. Sara sees the blood on the walls and tries to get Michael to snap out of it and he just keeps on staring. He doesn't talk as she checks at his hand. He lays his head on her leg and she assures him that everything will be alright. Later she brings Pope to the room and they find Michael still balled up on the floor. Lincoln's yelling for Michael and the guard just closes the window on him.

In the yard the next morning the guys wait to see if Sucre succeeded. Tweener's standing around and can't hear what they're saying but sees the guys gesturing towards the carpet truck that's just pulled up.

Kellerman calls the Veep up and questions her about Lincoln's father and the fact that he worked for the Company. She's vague in answering him and he wants her to promise that he's working for her and not for the Company. Brinker comes in as she ends her phone call with Kellerman. She's come to talk about the energy bill. They want the Veep to vote "yes" for it which surprises her. Brinker says that the President will just veto it and they're not worried about the bill, it's about getting votes, which is what they want for the election. Manchurian Candidate anyone?

In the yard, Avocado approaches Tweener who tries to ignore him. Who can ignore a seven foot tall guy who's asking you if you have hair on your body? I know I couldn't. Bellick comes up and insists Tweener tell him information or he'll be bunking with Avocado. With the pressure, Tweener admits that he doesn't know anything for sure but the guys are pretty interested in the whole carpet being laid. Bellick realizes what this means and storms into the guard's room. He rips the carpet up, expecting to find a hole but damn if Sucre didn't do a hell of a job, he finds nothing. Later we see him leading Tweener up the steps and puts him in the cell with Avocado.

In the suburbs, LJ's arrived at the address he found for Kellerman's alias. (Speaking of Alias, don't forget it premiere's this Wednesday, April 19th at 8pm!!!) When he realizes no one is home he goes around back and breaks in with the gun he stole from Nick's cabin. Unfortunately a neighbor sees him and is suspicious.

Dr. Sara takes Michael to the psych ward and checks him in. This is the point my roommate realizes what's going on. Good call. Michael still looks comatosed and Dr. Sara looks upset as she drops him off.

LJ's still rummaging through Kellerman's house and finds a big box of buffalo jerky. He sees Kellerman and hides. Kellerman comes in and does his normal routine until he hears a gun cock. LJ's standing there with the gun on him and he tries and talk him down. He claims LJ won't really shoot him and LJ pulls the trigger, grazing the side of his head. Kellerman says that he can help him beat the murder rap, but if he kills him he really will be a killer. LJ says, "the only thing you can do for me is die" which is just awesome. Before he can do anything though the police show up and force LJ to drop the gun. As they load LJ into the squad car Kellerman pretends to be innocent as the cop warns him that LJ is wanted for double homicide. Kellerman then gives the cop buffalo jerky.

Meanwhile, in the psych ward an orderly sits a still comatosed Michael down. When he leaves Michael snaps out of it and my roommate's right, he was acting just so he could get into the psych ward! Bad ass! Michael then sees Haywire, his old roommate. They insert a few flashbacks so we're reminded that he's the roommate he had after Sucre left that was obsessed with his tattoo. He walks up to him and says hello. He then tell him that he was right, his tattoo was a map and that he needs him to remember it. Haywire looks up and asks who he is. Uh oh, he must be on the horse tranquilizer like Hurley.
