SLUTTY STRIPPERS

How happy was I that the show I know and love came back full force last Thursday. I know, the season started the week before, but I'd like to not count that show. It was a filler, meant to catch people up on what happened. I'm also going to forget about the bad acting job of the lovely Chandra Wilson and chalk it up to postpartum depression. And the return of one of the hottest characters ever. Sadly it's not Denny, but...

We start out with Derek and Meredith in the elevator. Derek's not trying to hide this whole adultery thing at all, smelling Meredith's hair. We know from last season that he loves the smell of her hair. How she doesn't melt right into the elevator floor with him behind her smelling her I just don't know. I'd be naked by the time the elevator doors opened.

Unfortunately Izzie's not having that great a time. In fact, my girl crush is baking. Baking a lot. She's made like 400 muffins. Man, if I were her roommate I'd want her to be making some brownies. I'm talkin' to you, Allison!

You know who things are going well for? Dr. Burke. Cristina comes into the room, closes the door and the shades and strips down to some cute undies. They can't be comfortable for being on your feet for 20+ hours at the hospital, but I'll go with it. She tells him that even though he can't touch her (because of the surgery he had a few days ago on his hand) he can still enjoy it. She's such a great girlfriend. They start having a good time when his parents walk in. Mamma. Cristina quickly ducks and covers, but it's too late, Mamma already thinks she's a slut. Can we talk about Mamma? She's Diahann Carroll and dad is none other than Shaft himself, Richard Roundtree. "You're a bad mother- shut your mouth! I'm talkin' bout SHAFT!" Cristina's pissed at the nurse who was supposed to be watching the room. Some guy coded so he had to go save him. Excuses excuses.

Cristina and Meredith talk about what happened, seems everyone knows about her being a slutty stripper. Cristina doesn't think Meredith should judge since she's sleeping with two men. Meredith's my hero. They talk about Meredith having to make a decision between Finn and Derek and if she doesn't know by the end of the day, she'll flip a coin. Bailey's not too happy about the whole slutty stripper thing.

"I know what you did last summer"

Addison shows up in the Chief's office, er, bedroom. Since Adele's ultimatum he's been spending his nights in his office. Addison's not looking too good. Finding another woman's panties in your husband's tux will do that to a woman. She tells Richard that her marriage is over and she's going to spend the day drinking. I hope she's not spending it working too, that would suck. You know, because she's a surgeon, and you don't want to get operated on... nevermind.

The crew gets its first patient. Some lady who looks familiar. She has lung cancer and hasn't really accepted it yet. Well, she has and decided she's going to live life to the fullest. She's ordered a bunch of cakes from a bakery cause I guess having cancer makes you hungry. I need to go to the doctors. Because she's eaten, they'll have to reschedule her surgery. As the group walks down the hall, George tries to talk to Bailey but she snips something cute and Alex tells her that they want her to talk to the Chief about Izzie. George says she's baking, a lot, and that her talents could be better spent. Like in a tight doctor's shirt. Bailey doesn't want to hear it.

The next patient is hilarious. He has a brain tumor. Okay, that part's not funny. What is it, cancer day at Seattle Grace? Anyway, because of his tumor he says whatever's on his mind. He thinks his sister's fat and sweaty, and he thinks Cristina has a pinched, uptight look about her. He not only says what's on his mind, he's also clairvoyant. He also figures out that Derek and Meredith are doing the deed.

"Who-"

Bailey's pissed, for a number of reasons, mostly I think because she can't control her interns. Not sure if controlling their personal lives is what she's supposed to do , but she really wants to. As she's talking to them, she notices Meredith's panties. Remember the ones Addy hung on the wall last episode. Well everyone's just getting around to noticing them. Callie's there too and when Bailey angrily presses them to tell her who they belong to, Callie steps forward and says they're hers. George is surprised and not too happy about that.

"I'm angry!"

Bailey hands out the assignments, gives Alex the pit and Meredith charts to do. She's not too happy with them. She tells them to try and not kill anyone. I don't know how they're going to avoid that. They're not GOD for Christsake. Sorry, didn't meant to be blasphemous twice in one sentence. As they're walking away, Cristina tells the others how the "Nazi" is back. If you remember, that's what people used to call Bailey before she went sorta soft in the second season. Anyway, Mamma ends up hearing this and doesn't like it. Cristina tries to cover, but not very well. Then Derek comes by because Cristina's working with him on the brain tumor guy. Mamma asks Derek if she can borrow Cristina for a minute, because she wants to have a coffee in the cafeteria. This is way too scary for Cristina and she tries to get out of it, but can't.

When Derek sees Meredith he chases after her into the stairway. She's still confused, seeing he's married, and said all those great things to her. He's quite surprised about the panties on the wall but Meredith continues that she doesn't like being so confused. He tells her to take her time in choosing. He tells her he's going to leave Addy, but she's a bit hesitant, although he says it's true this time. Callie walks in on them, again.

"Watch your mouth"

When Cristina goes to Burke's room, Shaft's reading the paper. She wants Burke to help her get his mamma away from her. Shaft just listens as Cristina walks away, wanting Burke to come help her. He gives Burke a little smile.

Derek goes to Richard to talk to ask him if he's seen Addy. Richard tells him that Addy found the undies in his pocket, and Derek's surprised. Richard wants to help him, since he knows about having affairs, and having them with Grey women. Derek insists that it's not an affair, that he was going to end it with Addison.

Meredith's taking blood from the brain tumor guy and he's being all honest and what not. His sister doesn't like it, but Meredith think it's refreshing. Then he asks her if she's sleeping with the brain surgeon. She says no, that she hasn't done it today. What's taking her so long? I'd certainly be testing the merchandise out before I bought it. Brain tumor guy tells her that Derek is hot, and he would be hooking up with him if he could.

George has finally decided to confront Callie about the panties. Meredith overhears the conversation, wondering if Callie's going to spill the beans to George. He's clearly jealous and he tries to deny it, like every man does. Before he can get anymore info out of him, the lung cancer lady rides by having a wheelchair race. He runs after her and Meredith thinks Callie should just tell him they are hers. Callie won't think of it, she likes George being jealous.

That'll leave a mark

The weirdest case I've ever seen comes in. Callie and Alex are talking on their way to the ambulance bay and he's surprised about her and George. Bailey comes by and reprimands Alex for talking to Callie like that. When Callie tries to let it go, Bailey gets all in Alex's face. He doesn't let that go and says that he doesn't know why Bailey won't talk to Izzie. Bailey ignore him and they go to the patients. It's some kid who was street luging and lost control and got impaled by a tree. The tree's still in him and he's gnarly. When the guy's father shows up, he's yelling at the kid about messing up. Alex tries to control the guy but he ends up pushing him into the wall and his nose bleeds. Bailey flips out again and tells Alex to not defend his "girlfriend". She has issues.

"I'm still angry, but gorgeous"

Cristina's finally made it to coffee with Mamma. Unfortunately Mamma's got different ideas of what she wants out of Cristina. When Cristina says she's a surgical intern Mamma says that when they get married, she won't be working as a surgeon. Very 1950s June Clever stuff. Burke shows up, much to Cristina's excitement, but Mamma doesn't like that he's out of bed, that he shouldn't be out of bed. When he goes to grab a coffee, Mamma tells Cristina that she's selfish. She's got ya there sista. She said she pulled him out of his sickbed so that she wouldn't feel uncomfortable alone with her and that's selfish. That Burke is giving and she's selfish, and things can't last that long that way. Burke comes back and Cristina feels like crap.

Everyone's decided to watch the tree surgery because really, it's interesting. Cristina and Meredith are talking about Mamma when George comes in. Cristina wants to tell Mamma what she really thinks, and Meredith's been inspired by brain tumor guy. She thinks everyone should just say what they feel. George isn't really paying attention to this though, he's still thinking about those black panties and Callie. He wants to know if women have two sets. Actually, this is a great question. Every woman has two sets. The grandma panties you wear when you just don't care, and the sexy ones you wear on a date when you think you might get lucky. Meredith then announces that she's choosing Derek.

George eventually leaves and finds the lung cancer lady's leaving the hospital. She doesn't want to possibly die on the operating table. She wants to live her life to the fullest. George tells her that it's a 60% chance of survival. Personally I think these odds are good, since it's a 100% chance of death if you don't do anything. The woman doesn't want to do it though and against George's pleading, leaves.

Since it's Meredith's turn to check on Izzie, she goes home and sees the 15,000 muffins she's baked. She's looking for Izzie but she's not there. Finn shows up though. He didn't know Meredith would be there, he just brought Izzie lunch. He tells her that when his wife died, food was the only thing that seemed to make him feel better. So Finn showed up, when he didn't think Meredith would be there, to make her friend feel better. Brownie points!

Bailey steps out of surgery for a minute to talk to the tree boy's father. She tells him that he's stable, for now, but that the tree's still in him. The father's obviously upset, and he's still waiting for the kid's mother to get there.

"I still know!"

Izzie's ventured out of the house, to Joe's. She brings him a whole bunch of muffins. She could totally sell them and make a good profit, they look delicious. Addy comes out of the bathroom or something, completely drunk. She talks to Izzie a bit, about her slutty friend Meredith. Izzie's not a fan of conversation at the moment and leaves.

Cristina's standing outside of Burke's room, mulling over what Mamma told her. Meredith shows up and says she's picking Finn. Okay, I get why Finn is a great catch, I do. But she LOVES Derek. Are we forgetting about that? She loves him. Wouldn't you want to choose the one you love and not the one you just like and maybe can love? Cristina heads off to surgery and Meredith catches George flirting with a nurse. He thinks that if "Callie can do it" so can he.

As she's examining the brain tumor guy, Cristina gets the third degree from him. He's just saying what's on his mind. He wonders if she has a boyfriend, she says yes and he figures out that she's mad. She finally admits to the whole Mamma thing. Brain tumor guy admits that he had a boyfriend whose mother didn't like him either, but the boyfriend promised he didn't care. Of course, he ended up caring what she thought and they broke up.

Alex, Miranda and Richard are still in performing the surgery for the tree boy and Alex puts in a few Izzie digs. They finally get to the point they can take the tree out. Unfortunately, his stats start to fall because, you know, he had a tree through him and all. Cristina and Derek are operating on the brain tumor guy and he also starts to crash too. Uh oh!

Next thing we see, Miranda's in the bar with Addy. She's still drunk, complaining about Meredith still, and how she (Addy) is attractive. Yeah, she's good enough, strong enough, and doggone it people like her. Joe comes over and says he got a cab for her, like she asked, earlier when she was sober. What happened to the tree boy? And the brain tumor guy? I need to know!
George and Meredith are there. They're playing darts. At least, that's what George is trying to do while flirting with that same nurse. He's not a good shot though, and Meredith tries to tell him that Callie's a sexy wonderful, sorta dirty girl that he should be with. He throws a dart and it nearly hits the object of his flirtation. Hey, she shouldn't be sitting so close to the dart board. When George leaves to go get Callie, we assume, Cristina shows up. Meredith decides it's time for her to flip the coin. She does, but we don't know what the the result is. Cristina can't believe she's going to choose like that and Meredith says she's just going to take a page out of the brain tumor guy's book. Too bad the brain tumor guy died. Meredith's hurt, and Cristina is too. Cristina reminds her that he wasn't impulsive, he was sick and brain damaged. Ouch.

After Addy leaves, Bailey sees the tree boy's father drinking at the bar. She goes to him and wonders what he's doing there. See, his son LIVED! Yay! Everybody didn't die! He says that he let him go off with his friends because since he got a divorce, he hasn't been as hard on him as he used to be, let things slide, and that it's his fault this happened to him. Bailey's listening, very intently.

Also in the bar is Alex. He's sitting near the lung cancer lady who's trying every drink in the bar. She and Alex start talking and she's flirting because truly, who wouldn't? She then says that she's going to the ladies room, and he can meet her in there if he wants to. He thinks about it as she walks away and then follows. When he comes out a bit later, Bailey approaches him and wants to talk about what happened. He says that she's right, he shouldn't get physical with a patient. Of course that's not what she was talking about, but he just smiles and walks away. The lung cancer lady comes out of the bathroom, fixes herself up and tells Bailey to schedule the surgery. Nice.

Next we see Callie, in her little dungeon, jamming away in some cute little pink undies. I think they're the same ones she wore when she peed in front of the girls last season. Anyway, because she's in the hospital basement and she doesn't have real doors going to her bedroom, the Chief walks by and sees her. He goes in and wonders what she's doing.

Meredith's at Joe's by herself, and in walks Finn. Crap, did she choose him? Oh wait, no, there's McDreamy. She tells them how much she likes them both and they think she's made her decision. Well, sorta. She says she's going to do it like a normal person would figure out who they like. A normal whore. She's going to date both of them and then make her decision. I actually like this idea, a lot. They both agree to it she leaves. I would have taken McDreamy home with me. You know, under the guise of testing him out.

She could have put on some pants

In the basement, Callie and the Chief are having some coffee and talking about their situations and he wants her to not live there anymore. She points out that he's living in his office. True dat. As they're talking, laughing, George walks in, with flowers. We know what he's thinking when he sees them together and runs out. Callie finds George outside, laying sadly on the bench. She tells him that the panties weren't hers and the jealous thing is really hot. He likes this.

Cristina goes to visit Burke, but his Mamma is in there, helping him stretch his hands or something. She looks up at Cristina and isn't too happy she's there. Not really in a rude way, but knowing Burke needs his rest. Cristina says she was just checking to see if either one of them needed anything before she left. This obviously surprises them both. She says no and Cristina leaves. On her way out she runs into Shaft. He just smiles at her and tells her to "hang in there". I love Shaft. Hahaha, the guy.

At the house, George and Meredith show up. Callie's there too with some luggage. Izzie's still baking away. Suddenly, from behind George and Callie, Bailey says, "Izzie?" They part and then leave so Bailey and Izzie can talk. Oh, Callie has a cute lady bug bag. I totally want that. Anyway, Bailey tells Izzie that she had a baby, got soft, and stopped teaching her when she needed her the most. Izzie tells her that she couldn't have stopped her. Bailey disagrees and says that yeah, Izzie couldn't have stopped herself, but Bailey could have stopped her and in the past she would have. Bailey tells her it's partially her fault what happened and that she's going to come back, and they're going to talk to the Chief and work something out, because Izzie's talented and capable, and we all make mistakes. Izzie just stands there with the mixing spoon in her hand and Bailey forces it out of her hand. Very touching moment.

Finally, Derek confronts Addison. She's at the Ritz or something. She looks surprised to see him. He says how sorry he is for the prom, and the panties, all of that stuff. She says she's sorry too. He tells her their marriage is over and it's all his fault. She just continues drinking her champagne and lets him unload. Suddenly the door of the bathroom opens and steam comes out. No, not that steam, McSteamy! He's wrapping a towel around his amazing, gorgeous, beautiful body and looks up and sees Derek sitting there, completely caught off guard. Derek looks at Addison, takes her champagne out of her hand, drinks it and tells her he doesn't feel as bad now. Haha.
