CLIMB ME A RIVER

I really do love these guys, in all their goofiness

My favorite reality show is better than ever. Gotta love a show where they have virtually no time to rest and sit around and plot stupid alliances against one another. We last left our teams in Brazil as they begin a scattered departure.

Eric and Jeremy are first to depart, with the hippies, BJ and Tyler leaving just a few minutes left. In usual, college settings, I think Eric and Jeremy would be making fun of and razzing BJ and Tyler, but on The Amazing Race it unifies not divides and they're friends. They take cabs to some building to look for their next clue. Hot on their heels is Wanda and Desiree and Dave and Lori. When they get their they realize the building doesn't open until 8am, nearly 2 hours later. This allows all the teams to bunch up again. I'm happy for this since I really want team MoJo and Ray and Yolanda to get a chance to take the lead.

Is it wrong that I want to push Lake over the side?

When the building opens and they find a clue, they learn they've come to their first Roadblock. They have to climb high steps/fire escape and then rappel to the bottom. It's first come first serve, so whoever runs to the top fastest, goes first. Luckily there are three different sets of steps you can go up and BJ waits (not sure if it was intentional) and when everyone else makes their way up the other two, he starts up the last one. I'm thinking Ray, Jeremy and Joseph will fly to the top and I'm right, they get their first, but it's slow going after about halfway up. Of course Fran and Joni taking up the rear. Hey, not taking "it" up the rear. Dirty minds. Jeremy and Joseph are close and rapell to the bottom abotu the same time. The next clue instructs them to make their way to a bus station and grab times on three departing buses, all within and hour of each other. Once on the bus, it'll take them to Brotas where they'll have to choose a VW bug and find their next clue.

She's worried her boobs are gonna start sagging soon

Everyone makes it down without any drama, except for the Drama Queen, Danielle or maybe it was Dani, I can't tell those two bitches apart. She's second guessing her decision now since it's really high up. Um, didn't she see how high it was before she ran up there? Anyway, she doesn't want to look down and swears she's going to have a heart attack. I'd be scared too, with those two big rocks she's carrying around in front she's bound to sink fast. With a few kind words from Fran she eventually makes it down.

Eric, Jeremy and Daniel

At the bus station BJ and Tyler, MoJo, Eric and Jeremy, and Ray and Yolanda all get there at the same time. Unfortunately, Ray and Yolanda aren't fast enough and are forced to pull the second bus that leaves an hour later. At the same time, Lake and Michelle find themselves way off course falling behind enough to have to take the last bus. AH-HA!. The last bus contains Lisa and Joni, Fran and Barry, Lake and Michelle and Dani and Danielle. It's obvious it'll be one of these teams kicked out since they're a full two hours behind the lead bus and an hour behind the second. Someone on the second bus is gonna have to really frak up for all four last place teams to catch up and pass them. Before the buses leave, Eric and Jeremy do a little flirting with Dani and Danielle. These guys are gross, aren't they trying to win $1M? Eric wants to see one of girls' butt and actually touches it. Why doesn't anyone have a problem with this? I do. Focus people! Focus!

Once the bus finally arrives they choose a car and take the clue. It's a Detour. I've come to realize that choosing the right Detour will make or break you. If you're a team that chooses wisely, you'll go far, if you always choose poorly, you'll be done, soon. The Detour involves climbing up a waterfall or pressing sugar cane to make fuel. Hmm, what would I choose? The front running teams, MoJo, Eric and Jeremy, and BJ and Tyler decide to work together to find the waterfall climb one. Of course Eric and Jeremy use their time wisely to talk about how cute Monica is and how it's too bad she has a boyfriend. Yeah! And he's standing right there you tools. When they get to the Detour Monica kicks some ass but BJ and Tyler take off first to the Pit Stop.

The next three teams get there and Ray and Yolanda go to the climb and quickly finish it. Dave and Lori and Wanda and Desiree do the sugar cane one, wisely. Dave jokes that the "spirit of Mr. Wizard" is with them. I love these too, they're very goofy. Desiree hopes Karma doesn't come and kick her ass since she fell asleep during chemistry class. Those three finish quickly as well.

At the Pit Stop it's a race for first. Luckily it's BJ and Tyler who jump in before Eric and Jeremy. When Eric and Jeremy do get in they yell to Phil and call him a woman. Huh? These two really need to get laid.

Somebody help the old lady

The final bus arrives and the teams pick their poison. Joni and Lisa pick the sugar cane, but unfortunately the car gives them a bit of trouble and Lisa has difficulties driving. In the "Bonehead" move of the night, Fran and Barry decide to do the physical challenge. Why? I don't really know. When they get there Fran can't get more then two feet without getting herself tangled up. It's quite comical, but I am worried the poor old lady's gonna fall and hurt herself. Lake and Michelle whiz by her and head to the Pit Stop.

Fran and Barry finally finish around the same time (so the editing tells us) as Lisa and Joni. Unfortunately for the couple, their car breaks down and they have to wait to get a second one. When they finally get it they head to the Pit Stop. Fancy editing makes it look like the teams are neck and neck but they're not. One of them is traveling in the dark and the other in the semi-dark. Phil stands at the mat and waits for the second to last team and amazingly it's Fran and Barry. Lisa and Joni show up later and he tells them they're last. They cry a bit and I'm sad to see these two funny sisters go.
