JACK NEVER LISTENS

Another great episode, although I'm getting tired of people not accepting Jack for the amazing agent he is. I'm gonna kick McGill in the teeth if I ever see him.

At the opening of the show, Erwich arrives at Bierko's. Bierko's the bossman. How do I know that? He yells at Erwich for trusting Nathanson (remember the guy Cummings was talking to with the screens behind him). He's also pissed because Erwich has forgotten about the true enemy, Russia. In a show of good faith, Bierko stabs Erwich in the stomach. Can't say I'm upset or surprised. Bierko is talking to one of his men, who's at Nathanson's place, and Nathanson has gotten away, just in the nick of time. He's in his car, driving away from danger. Nathanson also calls a government official who was apparently in on it and the man is killed as Nathanson is trying to warn him.

McGill is in his office leaving a message for his crack head sister. He tells her to take the money, max out the cards, whatever, but he needs the key card back. Jenny tells her nasty ass boyfriend that she wants to give him the key card back, but because he's a piece of sh** he refuses. At this point McGill calls security and tells them to reissue him a card and cancel all activity on his old one. Wait, no, he doesn't do that, he just lets it go so it can come up later and bite him on the ass.

When McGill talks to Logan he yells at him for not following his orders and making sure the gas got released in the mall. Oh, you mean the plan you were too much of a puss to decide on? Yeah, that one. Now McGill is in an even worse mood. I wish I could feel sorry for him, but I don't. He walks into a briefing with Bill and Audrey who are still rehashing the whole mall thing. Let it go people, it happened fifteen minutes ago. Anyway, McGill wants to know why Audrey's always defending Jack. He must not have gotten that memo. He tells Bill that he wants Jack arrested for the mall incident. You'd think he'd have bigger things to worry about.

Bill calls Curtis and tells him to arrest Jack. Obviously Curtis isn't too happy about, but he follows orders. Jack's not too happy to go back to the office, but Curtis talks him into it since the trail has gone cold anyway. Before they leave, Curtis takes his gun from him.

"You're not gonna knock me out are you?"

Audrey of course pleads with Bill to leave Jack in the field and do something about the hobbit. After he refuses, Audrey gets a phone call, it's Nathanson. He tells her not to try and trace the call. He wants her to transfer him to Jack, he knows she was hittin' that before and they have a previous relationship. He has information on the nerve gas. She connects him and explains to Jack who it is. When Nathanson comes on the line Jack pretends, for Curtis, that it's a personal call. Nathanson admits that he was the one who set Jack up to take the fall for Palmer's assassination. He then tells Jack where to meet up with him if he wants to find the nerve gas. As Jack and Curtis are riding along Curtis asks him about his relationship with Audrey, who he thought he was just talking to. He wonders if Jack knows why she doesn't move her mouth when she talks. Jack gets pissed and knocks Curtis out. Actually, he's not pissed, but he does knock him out. He lays him on the ground on the side of the road and takes his gun back, driving away.

A few minutes later, when Curtis comes to, he calls McGill and tells him what happened. They try to track Jack but he's turned his transmitter off. McGill tells Curtis to come back to CTU. He approaches Audrey and thinks she helped Jack with his escape. Since she didn't really help him with the escape, she says she didn't help him. Since McGill is still suspicious of Audrey, she calls Chloe and tells her about Jack tracking down a lead. She asks Chloe to erase the call log from her phone. It's a few tense moments because at the exact time McGill calls communications and has Audrey's phone log sent to his desktop. Chloe tells Audrey that to erase the one call from Jack, she'll have to erase the entire log. Audrey tells her to just do it and she does it at the moment McGill brings Audrey's log up on his screen. McGill sees the log disappear from his screen so he knows something's up.

Finally we get a glimpse of what's going on at Camp Moron. Mike has Cummings phone, that's ringing. He answers it and the person on the other end is Bierko. He tells Mike he has gas and Mike tells him to use Gas-X. Bierko wants to talk to Logan and Mike puts him on. He tells Logan that Erwich is dead. He then says that he was planning to use the gas on Russia, in Russia, but since they went and f***ed that up, he'll have to use it on Suvarov in America. He tells Logan that he wants to know the motorcade route of Suvarov as he's on his way to the airport later. If Logan doesn't give him the route, he'll release the gas in a populated area. And you don't want that, he had onions earlier. After they hang up, Mike warns him that if they went through with this and the Russians found out that he helped the terrorists kill their President, they'd lose all ties to the country. It's sad someone has to explain that to Logan. Logan tells him to get the motorcade route, in case, after thinking about it, they decide to use it.

Back at CTU McGill tells Bill that Audrey's phone logs were erased. He says that he does think Audrey's in on whatever's going on and Bill finally admits that before Jack faked his death he and Audrey were involved, romantically. McGill questions whether or not Audrey knew Jack was alive and Bill shakes that off.

Jack finally makes it to where Nathanson is, some abandoned warehouse. As he arrives, so do the terrorists. He's on the phone with Nathanson and tells him to run for his life. Jack does his best to make it to Nathanson as soon as he can before the terrorists do.

McGill's still trying to figure out the whole Audrey thing and asks her whether or not she helped Jack escape. Semantics really. She tells him about the Nathanson call and because he likes to micro manage he decides his time will be best spent standing over Audrey as she gets information for him from DOD.

He might need to take the bus later so he's just looking for loose change

Unfortunately Jack's not fast enough and although Nathanson puts up a good fight, some guys in a helicopter shoot and mortally wound him. Jack's able to use those sharp shooting skills and disable the helicopter so it has to make an emergency landing. When he finally gets to Nathanson, he's almost dead. Jack questions him about the canisters but all he can muster to do is hand him a chip and then die. The terrorists, having landed, call Bierko and let him know that Nathanson was killed, but there was another man on the roof. Bierko orders his men to find out who that is.

Jack calls Audrey to have her help him with the chip and because McGill is up her butt she can't answer it. He's suspicious of course because she's not answering the phone. When she does she pretends it's the wrong number and transfers it to Chloe. Chloe fills Jack in on McGill's suspicion. He asks her to figure out what's on the chip. She complains that McGill is looking over everyone's shoulder. He uploads the chip to her and tells her to call him back on that phone number when he gets information.

Mike comes to Logan and gives him the motorcade route. He tells Logan that by giving the terrorists this information it's an act of war. Logan wonders if they can do something to alter the motorcade route or do something else to stop the attack. Cue crazy. She overhears just enough for Logan to have to tell her the truth. She's appalled that he would even consider giving the Russians up. Seriously, this woman needs to be drugged until this day is over and then taken into a political science class and taught politics. She demands that he not negotiate with terrorists, seeing that that's what the treaty he just signed was all about. He tells her that it's not that easy. Ain't that the truth.

"I'd follow you into the fires of Mordor, Mr. Frodo!"

McGill tells Audrey that he can't do anything to her because her father is Secretary of Defense, so he'll take his frustration out on Bill. He has Bill taken into custody and everyone's computer screens transferred to his so he can monitor what everyone is doing. I'm confused because it looks like there's about fifty people there, so how can he watch everyone. Audrey warns him that she's going to call her father and tell on him. She then sticks his tongue out and yells "Na Na Na Na Boo Boo".

Chloe's able to call Jack back and tell him about what she's found out about the chip. Apparently it has information on a company called Terra-Dyne and that it's acquired the raw isotope something or another to make Sentax gas. Terra-Dyne's parent company is Omicron. Jack recognizes the company and has her search the company records for a man named Christopher Henderson. She confirms that he does work for them and Jack tells her that he knows him. Not "knows" him knows him, but knows him, from a former life. Unfortunately Chloe can't send Jack the files because of McGill. She also lets him know that he had Bill taken into custody.

Logan apologizes to Martha and tells her that they haven't figured out another way out of this. I'm thinking he could have called CTU and at least gotten some advice from the experts. What was he doing those fifteen minutes? Flipping a coin? Logan and Martha say goodbye to the Suvarovs which is really hard for Martha. As they're doing this, Bierko calls for the motorcade route. Logan nods at Mike who gives it to him. Bierko and his crew go to work setting up an ambush plan for the motorcade.

Martha begs Logan not to let the Suvoravs go, but he pats her on the head and assures her that everything will be okay. McGill calls and Logan excuses himself. With nothing else to do, Martha hops in the Suvarovs' car and says she's going to ride with them to the airport. Aaron has to go with her for her protection and also gets in the car. She insists they let Logan know where she went as she drives off in the Limo of Death.
