BUT I LOVE YOU

Man, I don't know how my body does it. First Prison Break, and then this. I have to keep a paper bag near me for when I start hyperventilating. I have a great life. Wentworth Miller and Kiefer Sutherland both in one night. HOT DAMN!

So, last we left off Collette had jut named Audrey as the person who gave her the information for Bierko. Bill takes Chloe aside and wants her to run all of Audrey's activities for the day and see if she has any connection to either Henderson or Walt Cummings. Because Chloe has to question everything, she wants to know why, but Bill doesn't tell her. Instead, Bill walks over to Audrey's desk and has her taken into custody. He gives her a quick rundown of what Collette is saying and Audrey pleads with him that Collette is lying. When she wonders if Jack knows about this, Bill assures her that he's the one who authorized it. How'd he authorize it if he doesn't work at CTU? I won't question, I'm just going with it. Jack shows up with Collette and she says that she can identify Audrey if need be as the person who gave her the information.

In the torture chamber, Burke, our favorite torturer, brings out his tools so Audrey can see. Meanwhile, Bill's not convinced using such horrible methods on Audrey is such a good idea. Her father is the Secretary of Defense. That didn't stop them last year when they tortured his son. Jack tells Karen that he wants to handle Audrey's interrogation. Of course Karen doesn't think this is a good idea, considering their history. Speaking of history, she brings up Nina Meyers and Jack's record for not really being able to pick 'em. Ouch, that was a low blow bitch. Karen agrees to let Jack talk to Audrey for 10 minutes before they sick Burke on her.

Bill and Jack get together and agree that they don't think Audrey's part of this. I actually don't either but it's hard for me to trust someone who doesn't move their lips when they talk. They also agree that like her brother before, she may know something that could inadvertently help them.

Since Logan issued the martial law order, things seem to be going a bit chaotic. Cops pull over when they see two men in the alley fighting. Unfortunately when the cops get out and try and break it up, Bierko's men are the ones fighting and they kill the cops. Bierko's happy because they're going to use the cop car to get around this whole curfew thing. In your face Logan.

Chloe's sluthing pays off. She tells Jack that Audrey and Cummings stayed at the same hotel a few months before, in Pikesville, Maryland. (shout out to my hometown!) Well, not only did they stay in the same hotel, but they stayed in the same room. Some amazingly observant hotel manager recognized Audrey from the picture Chloe faxed him or sent him, or whatever efficient way she got him to look at that in 8 minutes. Jack's not too happy to learn Audrey was boffing Cummings.

A new tech has showed up to take Edgar's place. Her name's Shari and the actress played Heath Ledger's daughter in Brokeback Mountain! Chloe's her normal sweet self and tells her where to sit (and spin). As she's getting situated, Shari sees Miles, the Homeland Security guy and they exchange an awkward "Oh sh*t" look.

Kinky

Jack goes into the holding room and tells Audrey what's going on. She repeats that she didn't do anything, but even though he believes her, he can't let on or they'll stop the interrogation and send Burke in. He's a hard ass with her and asks if she knows either Henderson or Cummings. She doesn't know Henderson, but Cummings she knew because they had a few meeting together. You know, the kind of meetings you have sex at the end. When she won't admit to anything Jack tells her that they know about the hotel in Maryland. Audrey's shocked that an investigative agency would find out that information so fast. She finally admits that she slept with him, that he was separated from his wife then and needed to have that loving feeling. Jack pushes the desk out of the way and grabs Audrey by the throat. He tells her to lying and wonders why she was even with them. She says because she was devastated that he was dead. Ouch. Jack can't do it anymore and yells that the interrogation is over. Karen thinks it was Audrey who broke Jack, not the other way around. I have to agree, if she's a spy she's doing damn good job of avoiding the truth. Bill's still behind his girl and thinks she's innocent. Karen calls Burke. She's in trouble now.

Meanwhile, Chloe's making friends with the newbie. She gives her an assignment and immediately Miles becomes a bigger a**hole then before and tells her that she's not qualified for that. After he walks away Shari tells Chloe that he's pissed because she had a huge sexual harassment suit against him when they worked together a few years ago. Nothing happened except a small slap on the wrist so she's obviously still a bit bitter.

Jack walks out into the bullpen with Audrey and Bill tells them that Karen sent for Burke. They see Burke and his team walking through the situation room and Jack tells them to stop. When they don't he tries to fight them and Burke tasers him. They take Audrey and handcuff Jack.

While this is going on our dear Wayne Palmer is still being chased through the woods after those guys shot up his car and ran him off the road. Well, turns out those guys work for Henderson. They call Henderson and give him an update. He says that he wants Wayne Palmer dead. Aaron's still waiting for Wayne, trying his cell but only getting his voice mail. He asks another agent if Wayne's been cleared through the checkpoint and he says that he was, over half an hour ago. Aaron decides to go look for him and he leaves, asking the agent not to mention this to anyone.

Karen's still not buying it that Audrey's innocent, even though Jack's trying to convince her. He tells her the obvious, at least to me, that Henderson told Collette to give Audrey's name if she ever got caught. He wants to interrogate Collette but Karen says no, since she has that damn immunity. Jack thinks that if they can get Collette to admit that she withheld information, that her immunity would be null and void. He wants Karen to let him and Chloe find something to trip Collette up. She agrees.

Over with Chloe, she witnesses Miles trying to catch Shari doing something wrong so he can fire her. When Chloe hears him berating her, she tells him that it was her fault for telling Shari to do it that way. He notices the look on Chloe's face and realize Shari told her about the sexual harrasment. He assures Chloe that Shari made everything up, but she doesn't care about that right now, she just wants to find out where the nerve gas is. She even says that she'll file a complaint if they interrupt their work again. After he walks away Shari thanks her and Chloe goes back to her station. Jack walks up to her and says he wants her to help save Audrey. He neesd evidence that Henderson and Chloe had direct contact, you know, any STDs they may share.

Bierko finally arrives at the distribution center, the Wilshire Gas Company. They shoot the guard and start unloading their canisters. He and his men walk through the plant and find the manager. After shooting a few people to let him know they mean business, they force him to take them to the control room. Once in there Bieko gives us a little lesson about nerve gas. Apparently the pressure at a gas distribution company, at its normal pressure, will cause the nerve gas to be inert. Fortunately, they can reduce the pressure by half, thereby enabling it to be distributed to the various homes that the Wilshire Gas Company services. One of the workers tells the manager not to do it, at which time Bierko shoots him. He threatens to kill the remaining worker and the manager tells him that he'll help him, but it'll take a while, probably half an hour, but maybe an hour.

Aaron's in the woods, searching for Wayne. Suddenly, someone with a high powered machine gun comes up behind him. Luckily it's Wayne. I have no idea how he got that machine gun but thank gosh he did. When he realizes it's Aaron he's relieved and the two make their way back at Aaron's car.

Audrey's running out of time. Burke's already started administering the drug through an IV and she still says she doesn't know anything. At the same time, Chloe discovers that Henderson and Collette did know each other, in fact Henderson called the ho 8 times. This means Collette's immunity doesn't mean squat and he runs off, demanding that Logan sign the order to rescind Collette's immunity and stop have them stop hurting Audrey. Jack bursts into Collette's holding room and tells the Marshal holding her that because it's been discovered that she withheld information about Henderson, that her immunity is not worth the paper it's printed on. Ha, I've always wanted to say that. When the Marshal tries to stop the questioning Jack knocks him out and takes his gun. He points it at Collette's head and she admits that Henderson told her to use Audrey's name. He's also able to get it out of her that the gas is going to be used at a natural gas distribution center. Jack and Bill pass in the hallway and he tells him what happened and how the gas is going to be released.

Jack loves bursting into holding rooms because he does it again in Audrey's room. This time he tells Burke to stop torturing Audrey, that Henderson set her up. Burke immediately stops and Audrey and Jack share a special moment. She tells him that the only thing that kept her going was knowing that he would come for her. She cries and he kisses her. This would be a tender moment for me if I liked her more, but I don't.

Chloe has brought up the gas distribution centers and there are too damn many of them to figure it out. Bill rightly theorizes that the gas will be released in about fifteen minutes. Jack heads out with Curtis and the field ops team to be ready to go where they figure out the gas is. Shari pipes in and says that she was a chemistry major and knows about the pressure having to be lowered. They search for a lowered pressure and find the Wilshire Gas Company's down to 75%. Bill runs off to tell Jack and pats Shari on the shoulder, telling her "good job". After he walks away Shari complains to Chloe that the way he brushed up against her was inappropriate. Psycho!

Aaron and Wayne finally make it back to his car, but not before being attacked. The bad guy fires a missile and it misses. They do shoot Wayne somewhere on his body but I can't tell. Aaron gets him in the car and they drive away.

Jack finally arrives at Wilshire Gas Company and the pressure is almost down to fifty percent. Chloe tells Jack that most likely the group is in the control room. Bierko's men put the canisters in one of the air lock rooms and set up the remotes. Chloe instructs the pilot to land where it's least likely for him to be seen by Bierko's men and Jack and the team rappel down to the roof of the plant. Bad ass! They go into the building and Jack and Curtis take out two of Bierko's men with one shot each. Bad ass! When they get to the control room though, one of Bierko's men sees them and warns Bierko they're there, before the team shuts him up.

In the panic, Bierko activates the remote and the canisters open and start letting out the gas. Jack sees this on a monitor and the manager tells him that it's too late to shut the power off because the gas will still be carried to the homes. But, there is a pipeline outside. Jack figures out that if he sets the pipeline on fire, it'll burn off the nerve gas and stop it from going into homes. How he knows this will work, I don't know. Everybody takes off out of the plant while Jack goes to set up the C4. He sets the charge and runs out of the plant before the place goes up. The explosions start just as Jack gets out of the building. Unfortunately, he sees Bierko and tells them he's going back in to get catch him.

Jack makes it to Bierko and the two fight next to the cop car Bierko stole. The explosions start getting more intense, and before Jack knows it the whole building goes up, knocking him and Bierko down, with debris crashing down on them. Everyone at CTU is trying to get him, but he's not responding. Oh no, could our leader be dead. No! Of course not!
